As the Democrat nominee for president, Joe Biden is talking a lot these days about unifying the country. During his acceptance speech, he mentioned the word “unite” at least eight times. He said, “United we can, and will, overcome this season of darkness.”
We are now seeing the results of a plan that was two years and more in planning. You may have read stories in the 2018 election of how George Soros (yes, that enemy of our country), had poured a lot of money into political races for Attorneys General and District Attorneys.
Portions of Democrat states like Minnesota have been increasingly in play. Places the left saw as reliable are not. And while we may be adding a number of large urban areas (or even all of New York State where Trump is only down by as few as 5 points), classic blue-collar towns are choosing Donald Trump.
Twitter mouths a lot of words about being a place where bigotry and intolerance are not accepted, except when Twitter supports the bigotry and intolerance. Twitter is the place where bigotry, bullying, and intolerance against certain people is just fine.
The contrast between the left’s mopey zoom convention and the GOP’s uplifting one could not be starker. America sucks vs. Americans are awesome. Andrew Klavan took the obvious and turned out a satire masterpiece: “Dems Brilliantly Counter-Program Inspiring Republican Convention With Riots And Looting.”
The party of love and peace and caring™ has a problem. Their violent riots are hurting them in the polls. Is it the muggings, shootings, or lootings? Maybe folks realize that when Democrats say “equality,” they mean, you all think and act like us or else! Whatever it is, CNN’s Don Lemon is worried.
If you didn’t think the Left’s demands could not get worse, well, we warned you. Suprise would not be a word suitable to this piece. Militant protesters invaded a restaurant and started chanting, fists raised. One patron, who seemed uninterested or unwilling to participate, became a target of this mob.
The Left probably pulled a muscle leaping up to get behind Black Lives Matters and their program of defunding the police. Wailing about systemic racism. Supporting that which members of “the community” have said puts them at risk. A fact that is proven by the rise in crimes, shootings, and murder.
It seems like a long time ago, but in 2018 we shared the image above and plenty of text on the subject of Mobs or Jobs? Republicans were creating record prosperity and job growth. Democrats were focused on angry mobs. America elected more Democrats, and we got Left-Wing Mobs, and we’re fighting to get back the jobs.
The Democrats Zoom convention was almost as bad as their House impeachment. Trump’s numbers improved during both, a bit more during the House Circus than the Zoom circus. Not a good sign for a party that says it can lead a Nation that likes it less every time it does anything on a big stage.
One of the big stories over the weekend involved a guillotine. BLM protesters marched into the Portland suburbs with a mock guillotine. Quick question for the left. If Trump supporters marched into a neighborhood with a guillotine, would that mean something?
We’ve written about different entities (nations, States) trying to go “beyond” the normal types of taxes (re: income, property, dividends, capital gains, et al) for years. We’ve even mentioned the rather stupid ideas of instituting wealth taxes (not just what you’ve earned but your aggregate net worth collected over time).
The Dartmouth College Democrats are encouraging the entire undergraduate class to request an absentee ballot from Hanover, New Hampshire. But half of the undergraduates will not be one campus, and most of those will be learning remotely from outside the state.
Angelo Codevilla has a great piece over at Real Clear Politics. His thesis is one with which we agree, and have shared repeatedly – in our own words – over recent months. “[T]he ruling class took this opportunity (COVID19) to extort the general public’s compliance with its agendas.”
Democrats are a curious breed. Yes, we’ve pointed out more than once that they said we didn’t need guns cuz the police would protect us. Now they say we don’t need cops. So, Beto is going to send social workers to take our AR-15’s when we refuse to give them up voluntarily?
Most of the world’s agriculture is only possible thanks to fossil fuels and, as it turns out, global warming. How convenient is that? While complaining about the heat and the failure of an energy grid dominated by idiot leftist ideas, California is setting records for crop yield.
What seems obvious to those of us who wade around in the swamp all the livelong day may not yet have penetrated the collective consciousness of many average Americans – that these goings-on are neither random nor incidental.
Minneapolis was the epicenter of the spark that lit the powderkegs but there were no Democrat-run cities that blew up like Seattle and Portland. Both have had riots for months. And some businesses in Portland have had enough. They are thinking about moving out of downtown.
