“In Some Elitist Circles Being Pro-Trump Has Caused Me More Grief Than Carrying the Name Bin Ladin.”

A month ago, almost to the day, we shared Noor Bin Ladin’s Letter to America. She is the niece of Osama, the infamous terrorist “mastermind.” A distinction that she says has caused her less grief in some elite circles than her open support for Donald Trump.

The response to ‘My Letter to America’ has been overwhelmingly wonderful, and I am most thankful to all those who took the time to read it and send kind messages, including Spectator readers. But in my private life, I have lost a few so-called friends for backing Donald Trump over the past five years. Coming out publicly was a step too far for some, and the vitriol I received for stating my political beliefs revealed unflattering sides to certain characters.

We are not surprised.

These are people who will burn down their own nation. Attack their own neighbors. Destroy their lives and livelihoods—all out of visceral hatred for Donald J. Trump.

He is a threat to their cabal, and their followers are dutiful sheep, some with fangs, who will suck the lifeblood out of anything if it pleases their political masters.

And Noor is not the first to be surprised. In the last few months, I have witnessed or been privy to similar stories. People who are generally center-left are having epiphanies.

Members of law enforcement and their families are the most recent. Watching the media and Democrats’ war on police officers and the dishonesty of the reporting. The obvious bias. A bias that was not evident until it was focused on them and theirs.

These are paradigm-shifting moments. The wife of a cop who is suddenly flabbergasted by the serial dishonesty on an issue near and dear realizes that this is how they treat everyone and everything. The basis is universal.

Tara Reade never believed it until she went public with accusations of sexual assault against Joseph Biden. The vitriol spewed on her broke the blue bubble. She discovered that this bias was not a Republican talking point. It was real, and she was feeling the heat.

It’s sobering.

And the left is numb to it until they become a target.

They also do not see the growing number who will no longer vote for Democrats after how they have been treated by this process and the reality of their ideas about equity. A point we make often but not often enough.

The Left’s “big tent” is filled with people of different ages, races, sexes, and genders but they all must think and say the same things.

So, Democrats will say that being the niece of Osama bin Laden is not your fault. We should judge you by your words and actions as long as they align with the Democrat party agenda.

When they don’t, they feel the need to destroy you.

This is not a new trait, nor will it recede in the absence of Trump. They’ve already made it clear that they will go after Trump supporters and Republicans should they gain the power. Sanctioned ideological cleansing.

Reeducation camps (see also, mandatory diversity or harassment training).

No, that’ll never happen? Sure, that’s what the Dems said before they thought or said the wrong thing.

This is real, and the only way to stop it is to get the left out of powers everywhere and anywhere you can before they have the means to keep those promises.

And they will.
