It’s not so much secession as a realignment of interests. And it’s not the first time. West Virginia exists because of disagreements with the folks in Richmond a while back. Culture, war, slavery, and 150 plus years after that, it’s the right to keep and bear arms.
The same day Virginia elected Democrats into power in every corner of government; Democrats did what they do. They overreached. Rootin-Tootin, Maoist Gun grabbing Yahoos! The response from Virginian’s suggests they forgot to vote because the blowback is epic.
Kudos for refusing to back down on your gun confiscation promises. And hey, the tone-deafness is impressive. Nearly every country has said they will not enforce any such laws and here you are, padding the corrections budget to incarcerate previously law-abiding gun owners who refuse to let you disarm them.
New Hampshire is pushing a bipartisan plan to relinquish Concord, the Courts, and Developers of the burden of local zoning. Why? Well, in Virginia some who also want more dense multi-family housing think single-family suburban homes are racist.

The States as laboratories narrative is getting a test drive in Virginia. With no one to stop them, Democrats have put the accelerator on the left-win agenda to the floor. First up, epic gun-grabbing. But the locals are resisting, and some Democrats think, perhaps, the National Guard will need to help.
Culpeper County Sheriff Scott Jenkins thanked the County Board of Supervisors for making their county a second amendment sanctuary. But he’s got a backup plan, if necessary, to protect law-abiding citizens from the Democrat majority in their State Government.
Before the dust from the election had settled, Virginia Democrats rolled out SB16. A comprehensive assault on the second amendment rights of its law-abiding citizens, complete with bans and the confiscation of firearms. But before the bill can be introduced, the state’s cities and counties rebelled.
Earlier this year, I wrote about how New Zealand would set the left-wing standard for westernized governments banning firearms. And I was right. That nation’s socialists have gone Chairman Mao in their pursuit of civilian disarmament. The State of Virginia likes it so much they’re doubling down.
New Hampshire Republicans have a turnout problem. When they turn out they win. In 2018 they didn’t, and the GOP lost. Everything but the Governor’s office. Virginia just suffered something similar but with a Democrat governor. But it didn’t need to be that way.

We had another mass shooting in another gun free zone. The cops say none of those anti-gun laws would have mattered. (Armed citizens on-premises would!) So, Ralph ‘blackface’ Northam calls a special session of the Virginia State legislature to do more of what won’t work.
Sherry Frost should ask one of her “bodyguards” to proof her tweets before she sends them out. Check them for clarity. But most importantly for blowback.
Remember Justin Fairfax? Virginia’s Lt. Governor is twice accused of sexual assault. Democrats running for President have told him he should resign. #MeToo, and all that. Democrats all over the place wanted him to step aside. But Fairfax said no. He continues to claim his innocence and likens his situation to an old fashioned lynching. A rush to judgment with no due process.
Virginia needs an enema. Democrats in Blackface. Democrats accused of sexual assault. More Democrats in blackface. That whole “yeah, we considered passing a law to allow killing babies born alive” thing. And now this. Ibraheem Samirah is a Democrat candidate for State Delegate, and he hates Jews. Not a stretch for a Democrat but check this out.
The “Distraction from Democrats Kill Babies” ministry continues to look for scalps. Democrat Gov. Ralph Northam’s tack is one Republicans could learn. Refuse to resign and disappear for a few days. In his absence Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, who did not get caught on film wearing white-face in college, was accused of sexual assault. He denied that but a second woman has stepped forward.
Opposition researchers finally found Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s racist college photos – but they belong to the Governor of Virginia. What a strange world we live in. We ended last week with news of Andrew Cuomo’s One World Trade Center Woody in celebration of New York’s embrace of infanticide. A few days later I added some thoughts about clinics closing if they couldn’t perform abortions. In the midst of that news broke about a bill in Virginia that would allow abortion when a woman is dilating. That’s, giving birth. When asked for his thoughts the Governor of Virginia probably ended his political career.
The fabricated notion that there is a separation of Church and state is sacred to the left. By which they mean, the government shall forever meddle in religious business but keep your faith to your damn selves.
