County Sheriff Prepared to Deputize Thousands To Protect Their Second Amendment Rights

Culpeper County Sheriff Scott Jenkins thanked the County Board of Supervisors for making their county a second amendment sanctuary. But he’s got a backup plan, if necessary, to protect law-abiding citizens from the Democrat majority in their State Government.

My office will always encourage and support our citizens in firearms training, concealed carry permits, and the ability to defend themselves and their families,” Jenkins’s office wrote in a Facebook post during the meeting. “If necessary, I plan to properly screen and deputize thousands of our law-abiding citizens to protect their constitutional right to own firearms.”

He announced this on Facebook, closing with the gem. “A militia, when properly formed, are in fact the people themselves…and include all men capable of bearing arms.” (1788)Richard Henry Lee

New Hampshire could use a few of these for backup.
