Four Virginia Democrats disclosed that they received donations from Gov. Ralph Northam’s political action committee despite having called for his resignation earlier this year, according to campaign finance data from Virginia Public Access Project. It total, Northam’s PAC donated $85,000 to 13 Democratic candidates running for Virginia state office. 11 of those 13 were candidates running for the House of Delegates and they all received $5,000. Another candidate running for the state senate received the same donation as Bell.
Standards? Morals? Or just business as usual? Chutzpah, fer sure, guys and dolls. Think about it – because of his appearing in blackface, one of the most mortal sins in the Democrat panoply of PC paganism, they tried to banish him. Excommunicate him. UNPERSON him.
But his money, well, that’s another story – greenbacks, Grants, Benjamins…they may be old white guys on those cloth notes that the Dems hate as well – but just enough “less” so as to make them acceptable. After all, it’s “for the cause!” – the cause of acquiring Power and more Power.
Will this be Northam’s penance payment? Or will the Democrats keep up the political Kabuki theater of one side of the mouth (shouting “RESIGN!”) not meeting the other side (whisper of “thank you”)?
