Desperation Looms in the Executive Council District 4 Primary

Executive Council District 4 Republican Candidate Jane Cormier (the underdog) has had many of her large 4×8 signs stolen or damaged.

Who is so afraid of her that they would commit a federal crime to steal her signs?  Her opponent’s signs remain intact as do the Democrat signs. So what is it they fear? Do they think that stealing her signs will silence her supporters?  What has she done to deserve this?  She is out campaigning with heart and has to fight the media, the establishment, and more, to get her name out there.

I had to register a vehicle, birth month and all, so I went down to the town hall (because I love standing in lines) to get the vehicle registration renewed. Yes, I know you can do it via email and online. I missed it, and when it turned up (after a lengthy search of my very-crowded in-box), it made more sense to mosey on down to the clerk’s office.

Where requiring photo ID helps prevent fraud, or something.

Has NH CD-2 Candidate Dr. Stewart Levenson read the Constitution, Declaration, and contemplated on “The Proper Role of Govt”?

Dr. Levenson on WMUR News on 8/13 at 6pm, shows us a rather parochial and patriarchal view citizens in his own words:

The top issue is our approach to government; it’s broken.  We have to get rid of the career politicians. I blew the whistle on the corruption and inept care at the VA and I’ll do the same in Washington.  We need to get rid of the career politicians to put people in, do the job the people elected them to do, who will take care of their needs, who will represent them. We don’t have representation now in NH. We have congress people that are beholden to the  big Corporation s to California to outside interests.

Now, I realize that in being a doctor, he takes care of people – that’s his worldview and we need people like that. But is it the Proper Role of Government to “take care of their needs”?

There’s a lot of discussion just now about Eddie Edwards’s decision to pull out of the first Republican Congressional District 1 (CD1) debate rather than sign a pledge to support the eventual primary winner.

Is he showing ‘character’, and ‘standing up for his principles’, by refusing to sign the pledge?  That’s one way of looking at it.  Another is that he’s indicating a basic misunderstanding of what a political party is for, and what it means to belong to one.  He’s not alone.

I continue to get Stuff – I think it is time for a bit of a fisking: Alan Rice of the NH Firearms Coalition

“I’ll let you skip the self-reflection bit and make it plain – how could you, as President, allow somebody that rates an “F” that marks him as an anti-gunner, on your Board?”

Ah yes, Alan Rice of the NH Firearms Coalition (“NHFC”) is starting to feel some heat.  Like I said before, if you want to judge candidates for office (either newbies just running for the first time or those that have proven voting / legislative histories) simply because they won’t bother with either your questions or you survey in toto, you deserve a continued beat-down.  What a schmuck!

So, one person complained – and got this in return. I’ll let Alan Rice figure out what a fisking is – I’m not sure he understands the phrase “self-evident” either.  I will clue him in that the items I’m talking about by putting them in bold them; I’m sure that even he might “get it”.

Well, if Boutin’s hat is in the ring, I think we have a few anchors and anvils to add to his load.  And guess what?  They’re as valid now as when we first dropped them back in 2013/2014.  Boutin is a straight get-along-go-along GOPe-er that toes the Establishment line – he knows where his campaign money comes from.  So, consider this just the first one – we’ve got PLENTY!

It has been my honor to serve as State Representative of the beautiful town of Merrimack for the last four years. During that time I served on the house education committee. I fought for the rights of parents in education, choice for all children, and for the teaching of civics to be a priority in our schools. I fought for core values outside of education such as marriage, the sanctity of life, and the protection of our second amendment rights.

I entered office seeking unity with my party. However, I quickly realized that finding common ground on our most basic platform principles, like fiscal responsibility, was difficult. This past session, with a majority in both houses and a Republican governor, we still lost the fight on right-to-work, Medicaid expansion, and other fiscal and social issues.

I began to examine the fact that we, the conservative Republicans, kept losing essential votes, and where the problems within our government originated.

Have You Seen Me? Selective Vanishing of Campaign Signs Seems Suspicious.

Someone appears to be taking Jane Cormier’s Campaign signs but not the signs of her primary opponent. I mean, they’re right next to each other. One day they are both there, neither blocking the view of the other and the next – Jane’s sign is gone.

DOT doesn’t have them so who is taking them from high traffic areas and what do they have against Jane going to Concord to save taxpayers a little money?

Fixing schools: Is money really the issue?

A phrase we heard a lot the other night at Andru Volinsky’s traveling show was ‘fix it’, as in: ‘Some states have fixed it’, ‘The legislature doesn’t have the political will to fix it’, and so on.

Which raises the question:  Does something actually need to be fixed?

This needs to be asked, because whenever there is a conversation about reducing spending on government schools, we hear this argument:  ‘New Hampshire’s schools are among the best in the nation’, the implication being that this is a result of our willingness to spend so much on them (about $15,300 per pupil, well above the national average of $11,800).

That doesn’t sound like something that needs to be fixed, does it?

Data Point – Retail sales indicating a much more robust economy?

Retail sales—a measure of spending at U.S. stores, websites and restaurants—rose a seasonally adjusted 0.5% in July from the prior month, the Commerce Department said Wednesday. That was well ahead of economists’ forecasts for a 0.1% increase. Compared with a year earlier, they grew 6.4% in July. That’s more than double the pace of inflation, which increased 2.9% in the year to July, as measured by the Labor Department’s consumer-price index.

Robust hiring and low unemployment mean more households have income to spend.

Why Democrats Don’t Trust You With Guns…

The typical Democrat reaction to anything relating to guns tells you a lot about them. Human beings filter things through the lens of their personal worldview and firearms are a great example of this.

The Democrat narrative claims that people can’t be trusted with firearms because at any moment they might snap and shoot everyone around them. In New Hampshire, a common theme when Liberals are trying to restrict firearms by limiting the places they can be carried is the old ‘Blood in the Streets’ narrative.

Eddie Edwards announced that won’t participate in the Republican primary debate tonight because he refuses to commit to supporting Andy Sanborn should Sanborn win the Republican primary in the First Congressional District.  How can anyone claiming to be a Conservative not fight to elect a Republican, let alone a proven Conservative Republican, versus what promises to be another leftist Democrat?

The Gaystapo and the State of Colorado are Harassing Masterpiece Cakeshop Again

The Colorado Civil Rights Commission didn’t just target Masterpiece Cakeshop they were openly hostile to the owners religious beliefs and indifferent to the tenants of his faith. The reuslt was a sweeping rebuke by the U.S. Supreme Court that itemized the sins of the state.

Colorado didn’t care. They’re back, and shop owner Jack Phillips has to sue them to get them off his back.

John Brennan Loses His Security Clearance, Usual Suspects Lose Their Minds

This is not surprising news to anyone but the media. Their devotion to the Trump Russia Collusion narrative (they created) makes them incapable of seeing the big picture. A picture that includes leading intelligence officials of yore who lied under oath and leaked classified intel to the press. One of them was John Brennan.

Brennan was a great choice to head Obama’s CIA because he is pompous, arrogant, and lies easily. Even under oath. Which is grounds for his clearance being revoked but that’s not why they did it.
