The loudest socialist mouthpiece in the House is AOC. She is cheering the news of plummeting oil futures. Monday oil futures went below zero. That means oil producers are paying processors to take the oil. Demand worldwide has plunged in response to the coronavirus.
The title is a quote from Brandon Morse at Red State. He is walking us through an incident where the Police in Raleigh, North Carolina broke up a lockdown protest. The point, of course, being that the first amendment protects that right and it was just infringed.
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) delivers some good news. There are things in it for individuals and businesses, including tax relief. The tax relief offered by the CARES Act is over and above the tax relief offered by the earlier Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA).
On Friday, March 13th the Nashua Board of Education voted to provide full compensation to all district personnel for five days from March 16th to 23rd while shutting down the schools. There was no discussion of the cost to taxpayers as these funds were already in this year’s budget.
That is, moving Tax Day from April 15th. What a shame that Trump decided to move to that rather to one much more appropriate. And that would be?
The latest media broadside on the terrible awful massive gas tax hike calling itself a “Climate Initiative” is labeling it a “once in a generation opportunity.” To what, kill jobs, and screw the heck out of low-income people and participating state economies? No, silly.

Not only are they going to be around for likely your whole life, but you are going … Read more
When the New Hampshire media reports on our state’s reliance on property taxes you always hear how they are “some of the highest in the nation.” It’s true. Why don’t these same media outlets note, in the same breath, that this might be why our total tax burden is one of the lowest in the nation?
What is fraud anyhow? We hear the terms “fraud” and “fraudulent” thrown around a lot, but it is likely that many, if not most, people do not really understand the full meanings of the terms. The takeaway message from Gov. Chris Sununu’s State of the State address on Thursday was that New Hampshire, like comedian Larry The Cable Guy, gets her done.
A tourniquet can be a lifesaver when serious bleeding is occurring. But when the bleeding has stopped — when the source of the problem has been identified, and fixed — you remove the tourniquet. Otherwise, you risk developing gangrene in the limb that needs the blood supply that you’ve just cut off. At least, that’s how it works in medicine. In politics, we just leave the tourniquet in place indefinitely.

But Thomas’s apparent solution, increased school funding, is simply inadequate, and, based on decades of history, unlikely to improve educational results or reduce poverty. Calling for school funding increases may make people … Read more
Now, we all know the Bernie bro’s have been claiming there is an “ideological divide” between Bernie and the DNC. For the Bernie bro’s it’s David and Goliath. It’s independent versus party loyalist. It is the socialist Senator from Vermont against the establishment world.
