Alternative title 1: Community above the Individual
Alternative title 2: the government has made us all our brothers’ keepers.
That is a political philosophy called Communitarianism. The short definition is a feeling of community but on steroids with the control clamps being brought out of the secret drawers.
These media idiots are not as dumb as we imagine. They are redefining the effort of people to free themselves from a smothering government as fascist. If they do it long enough, absent meaningful resistance, future generations will embrace their new meaning.
Will the pandemic bring back bartering? The short and to the point answer is: it never went away. Our economic systems started with it and it has continued to this day: two people eyeing what the other person has, figuring out the relative values of each thing, and then trying to do a swap of “equal” value.
The Left’s History of Bigotry is long and deep. Socialists and leftists generally claim they support equality and diversity. Sounds great doesn’t it? It’s part of virtue signaling in this age of political correctness.
A few decades back, we were told by ‘experts’ that not long from then (meaning before now), our children would not know snow. Yet another emotional plea to convince us to embrace massive tax hikes and the minimization of our lifestyles.

I keep asking the same question. If everything is supposed to be free, why is it that Socialists never “lead the way.” Ask Bernie Sanders. Now that he can “retire” as a Socialist to one of his many (snicker) homes, are you going to sell one in order to feed the newly made poor due to Government actions during this “crisis”?

We all understand at this point Congress likes to use bad news to hide the passage of bad policy. Make bad policy into law and the damage becomes nearly irreversible. Some elected officials are trying to attach medical price control to the China Virus bill. This builds socialism and cronyism into our legal and regulatory system.
It will be quite fun to watch the Presidential Debates. If, as Joe has said, he and Bernie share common ideals, but he can’t remember what they are, Trump can twist him into knots over what he has said and hasn’t.
The Left hates the words looters and producers in the same sentence in talking about politics – they KNOW the words are aimed at them. Of COURSE, they are – their words and actions (their legislation and their votes) out themselves.

Democrats and Republicans seem to agree on one thing: Bernie Sanders cannot defeat President Trump in the general election. While his raucous crowds and early campaign victories suggest widespread support, a recent Gallup poll confirms that 53 percent of Americans surveyed would not vote for a socialist presidential candidate.
Today Bill de Blasio, New York City Mayor, former Democrat presidential candidate said he believes the Wuhan coronavirus is a prime example of why it’s important for the federal government to nationalize “crucial factories and industries.”

Socialism is a game for the connected rich. In the Former Soviet Union, they are oligarchs and the wealthy connected class. The real one-percent. The people who want equality to mean everyone but them. And Socialist Sanders supporters are no different.
