The Attorney General of New Jersey issued a directive instructing police officers in the state to not cooperate with ICE on Immigration Enforcement. The thinking here is that this announcement will help build trust between illegals and police.
Immigration Enforcement has responded. Their efforts will likely increase in New Jersey as a result of the policy.

With Election Day near we should be aware of the Left’s priorities most especially when it is supported by action. Their priorities added to their basic lack of understanding of the separation of powers help us see useful facts when making Election Day decisions. In trying to help the Left on Election Day, Eliot Engel, ranking member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, a Democrat from New York has taken a stand on illegal immigration.
The president said he would cut off foreign aid to El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras if they aided or failed to curtail the caravan of illegal immigrants headed north. Engel believes the President lacks the authority to make that decision. The Washington Examiner reports Engel said, “Trump lacks the authority to make those decisions unilaterally due to a law called the Impoundment Control Act… Fortunately, Congress — not the president — has the power of the purse, and my colleagues and I will not stand idly by as this administration ignores congressional intent.”

I posted what I like to call “bait” on the Grok Facebook page. It was two meme’s someone made making a point or two about the tragic murder of Iowa girl-next-door Mollie Tibbetts at the hands of an illegal alien. The tender-footed progressive-leaning morally-mother superiors can never contain themselves.
The gist of at least one objection is that GraniteGrok is standing on the shoulders of a dead girl.
I don’t think so. We’re standing quite squarely on the failed priorities of Democrats.
I have a friend who is a legal immigrant from a country in South America. She came many years ago and likes to share how much hard work it took to earn her U.S. Citizenship. There is a lot of paperwork, she says. But it was worth it. She is very proud.
She also says she has no pity for illegals. None. Zeeerow! “They are Il-le-gal! I don’t care if they are one parent or a daughter, a family, or whatever it is they are doing.”
We had separation week, but as it turns into Separation Summer, I had another thought about how hypocritical the far-left is on the so-called issue of Trump separating families.
If you walked your children across an unforgiving desert or placed them in the company of narco-terrorists, drug dealers, human traffickers, or gang members, sometimes for weeks, (or packed into hot trailers for days) wouldn’t Child and Family Services (or some other big government bureaucracy with which the left exercises its ‘compassion’) send law enforcement to separate them from you and you from them?

New Hampshire is the highest-ranked state for children’s well-being, according to a national survey released on Wednesday.
The Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Kids Count report, based on data from 2016, ranks New Hampshire first overall and second in economic well-being, with drops in the number of children living in households with high cost burdens and children living in poverty.
Via an Executive Order titled, “Affording Congress an Opportunity to Address Family Separation,” Mr. Trump has instructed relevant Federal agencies lead by the Department of Homeland Security that they,
(a) … , shall, to the extent permitted by law and subject to the availability of appropriations, maintain custody of alien families during the pendency of any criminal improper entry or immigration proceedings involving their members.
(b) The Secretary shall not, however, detain an alien family together when there is a concern that detention of an alien child with the child’s alien parent would pose a risk to the child’s welfare.
What does this mean for Family Separation Week?
