Merrimack Mandates Masks in their Recycling Center – Why?

January 2, 2021 Steve MacDonald

Neither medical masks nor cloth face coverings are designed to stop the spread of a flu virus. The few studies ginned up to give some credence to the claim that they can or will are outnumbered by dozens more that say no. So, why has my town’s recycling facility demanded you wear them?

December 31, 2020 Steve MacDonald

The nearly-criminal prohibition against positive COVID19 news in the media continues, leaving sites like GraniteGrok to report the truth. Our reward is that we’re right because the state’s own data proves it. And we intend to continue reporting that truth in 2021. So, where are we on New Year’s Eve?

December 30, 2020December 29, 2020 Steve MacDonald

WMUR’s Headline: “NH has seen more than 20,000 new COVID-19 cases in December, DHHS reports.” What does it mean? It means nothing. And while WMUR reports hospitalizations and deaths, they never report any of that in the context for those 20,000 new positive cases. And it matters.

March 31, 2022December 28, 2020 Steve MacDonald

If there’s reporting on this, I can’t find it, so I guess this is breaking news. Newfields, New Hampshire, where Republican Governor Chris Sununu lives, has passed an ordinance that makes it illegal to protest outside residential homes, including his.

August 24, 2021December 26, 2020 Steve MacDonald

The ‘Grok been sharing the declining fortunes of the New England Energy grid (As well as energy in general) for years. As the left has swept up political power, forward-thinking means green “capacity.” This is useless in the bitter cold when we need it most while what we need – natural gas – is blocked by the same politics.

New Left-Wing Tax Schemes Seek to Tax Wages Long After You Move And No Matter Where You Earn Your Money

December 25, 2020 Steve MacDonald

Early on, when Covidism was getting its feet wet, we predicted the inevitable problem for Blue States with governors like Cuomo and Newsom and Baker. These High-Tax big-budget money-pits were locking down their golden goose, but they’d never let government suffer for it.

Another Day Under the Pall of a Marketing Campaign Based on False Fear

December 24, 2020 Steve MacDonald

Another day in the Granite State living under the pall of a marketing campaign based on false fear. One that can’t stand up to scrutiny. In fact, if it were a private company, they’d get sued for false advertising, deception, fraud, and malfeasance. Since it’s the state, we’re supposed to shut up and take it.

NH Lawsuit: I Think Taxxachusetts Has Screwed Itself Again

December 23, 2020December 22, 2020 Steve MacDonald

New Hampshire has a lawsuit against Massachusetts. The Bay State tweaked its non-resident tax rules when the Rona hit. Anyone forced to work remotely who never had or was forced to work remotely more often would still pay Mass. taxes on those remote wages.

NH COVID Threat Index Update 12-21-20

December 22, 2020 Steve MacDonald

The political will exerted to slow the spread has not slowed th spread. Masks don’t do it, nor does distancing or other restrictions. The math is the thing. Test more people, find more cases, but does that mean anything? Not really. Not to the majority of productive working-age people in New Hampshire. Nor is it a concern to the majority of consumers. But Karen wants what Karen wants.

But based on the State’s COVID19 case summary for Dec 19th if you are under 70 you still have very little to fear and should be free to determine your own tolerance based on an honest understanding of risk.
