With the release of Justice Department Inspector General (IG) Michael Horowitz’s report, we are forced to acknowledge our government is under attack. Who is attacking it?
Due Process
Due Process Protects You and Me and America
Due process protects you and me and America. The whole due process thing is important because we are Americans. It is a cornerstone of American law and government. Due process is the thing that keeps us from being railroaded in legal proceedings. It keeps fairness in the process. What is the nature of the due … Read more
Undoing Due Process
The protections in the original Bill of Rights applied only to the federal government. So, the federal government couldn’t set up an official religion, or punish you for saying something, or disarm you, or search your home without a warrant, and so on. But the states could do those things.
Red Flag
Editor Note: much of this post is pulled from a Daily Signal article. The link is now provided and the content from that post is now offset to show its origin. New Hampshire has a “Red Flag” bill in the legislature. The question is whether there is such a thing as correct focus on the … Read more
Never, Never, Never, Never, Never Bow to the Mob
This: Good for Representative Welch and every other GOP Representative who refused to bow to the social media mob that Debra Altschiller (I prefer Asshat) helped foment. This is how the Left operates. They cannot win a battle of ideas -in this case, Asshat’s anti due process gun-confiscation law- so they try to stifle any … Read more
6th Circuit Ruling: There is No Due Process Right to Perform (or fund) Abortion
The 6th Circuit Court has ruled that a law in Ohio that prevents the state from funding “nontherapeutic abortions” does not violate the constitution. There is no due process right to abortions. And the government is under no obligation to fund any activity, deemed constitutional or not.
New Hampshire Democrats Move to Eliminate Due Process Rights for Granite Staters
New Hampshire Democrats backed by massive amounts of money and influence from out of state special interests want to eliminate your right to due process. They’d like to empower anyone with a phone a pen and the inclination to send armed officers to your home to take your stuff.
Will Virginia Decide Due Process Applies To Rape Allegations (at least for Democrats)?
Remember Justin Fairfax? Virginia’s Lt. Governor is twice accused of sexual assault. Democrats running for President have told him he should resign. #MeToo, and all that. Democrats all over the place wanted him to step aside. But Fairfax said no. He continues to claim his innocence and likens his situation to an old fashioned lynching. A rush to judgment with no due process.
RED ALERT: THE MOTHER OF ALL GUN CONTROL BILLS
Once again, another MAJOR RED ALERT from the Women’s Defense League of New Hampshire: The mother of ALL GUN CONTROL bills is about to be heard in the NH House Criminal Justice Committee. This is the most destructive piece of legislation to ever be introduced to the legislature in modern history. This legislation – House … Read more
NH Gun Confiscations on Deck
If they can’t take your guns outright, they’ll chip away at your gun rights, one year at a time, one bill at a time. And when they finish, the possibility of the Police coming unannounced at 5am to confiscate your guns will be very high and very real. Folks, it’s already happening elsewhere in these United … Read more
Democrat Molly Kelly Wants Gov. Chris Sununu to Denounce Brett Kavanaugh
Candidate for New Hampshire Governor Molly Kelly (D – Never met a tax increase she didn’t like) wants the current Republican governor, Chris Sununu, to denounce Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination publicly. Sure, it’s a trap, but not one he can’t easily side-step. Mr. Sununu should counter with something like, “This is not a banana republic. No … Read more
Albuquerque Forfeiture Case Could Have National Implications
New Hampshire has made great strides at the state level with regard to Asset Forfeiture. But many states, and more importantly the federal government, still engage in the practice of seizing property for themselves. A federal judge in Albuquerque, New Mexico just wrote a decision that while limited to local seizures, makes a great case for why the practice should be prohibited from sea to shining sea.
Appellate Court Slaps Down University for “cavalier attitude toward petitioner’s due process rights”
My interest in this decision is two-fold. First, no small amount of effort has been expended on these pages to highlight the abuse of rights on college campuses or the culture that facilitates it. Second, I attended the University of Buffalo, which was just dope-slapped by a New York State Appellate Court for its banana-republic-like judgment against a student.
In response to their disciplinary process, the court said,
Mueller Files Motion To Hide Evidence From Parties He Has Indicted
From the “we’re already ignoring the Constitution” files, Minister of Mopery, Herr Mueller, has decided that he can indict people without having to provide evidence for the indictment to those he has charged.
Special counsel Robert Mueller and his deputy Rush Atkinson filed a 14-page motion Tuesday arguing that the government shouldn’t have to release certain evidence to indicted Russian company Concord Management and Consulting LLC due to ongoing “interference operations” against the United States.
But,
In the United States, criminal defendants are entitled–by virtue of an almost sacred right–to view the evidence used against them. This right undergirds the basic foundation of America’s adversarial legal system.
I guess Scala or Galdieri haven’t heard the latest, have they?
Social conservatives will grumble, but they don’t appear to have the juice to make the popular governor pay the price for this,” Scala added. “There just aren’t enough voters, even in a statewide Republican primary, who will vote on these issues. That was true when it came to repealing gay marriage, and it’s true today.”
-University of New Hampshire political science professor Dante Scala
“He feels like he is comfortably ahead enough that he can afford to lose a few social conservative votes,” Galdieri said.
-Saint Anselm College political science professor Christopher Galdieri
It may be amusing, both ways, what with the scuttlebutt that has been part and parcel of all the inbound calls and emails I received yesterday and today. When the idea started up, everyone that either mentioned it or heard it basically said: “yup, we could get behind that, RIGHT NOW”.
Due Process Under Attack
Lead by Democrats (and Radicalized Republican moderates) the Feds and progressives are taking every opportunity to kill due process wherever they can.

Will New Hampshire Democrats Vote for Indefinite Detention?
It’s not every day that you get the opportunity to discover whether or not your elected officials are more interested in government power over the people or in using their own authority in the defense of liberty. But HB399, the New Hampshire Liberty Act, may provide us with a window into the heart of those currently serving.
HB399 seeks to prohibit federal enforcement of indefinite detention without due process. This should seem like a no-brainer. No matter who happens to be in the majority, no one should ever want their leaders–no matter how unlikely–to have the power to sweep people up in the dark of night and detain them without due process, for as long as they like.
Or are New Hampshire Democrats OK with that?
