Morning Update: Don’t Fall For It!

Today, in a special Saturday edition of the Morning Update, we’ve talked about Chinese data-center psy-ops and the narratives around power, water, and even the surveillance state, but we need to talk about the systemic BS and how it applies to this topic, especially water.

Edited Transcript:

It’s Saturday, August 29th, 2026, six, and this is a special Saturday edition of the morning update because I accidentally said I’ll talk to you tomorrow, and it’s tomorrow. So here I am.

So if Democrats are yelling about anything en masse, it’s probably bullshit. The more of them yelling about it, the bullshittier it is. This is just a fact. This applies to everything.

No Republican should be repeating their bullshit, and this almost always holds out to be true. It’s actually one of our rules around here. But why doesn’t this apply to data centers or AI data centers in particular? That just continues to surprise me.

We’ve shared the dark money sources from China, the obvious effort to create narratives that would cause Americans to perhaps protest and even block the development and expansion of AI in America. Despite the fact that this would just allow China to get ahead of us in the AI race,

Threats to infrastructure, privacy. So any AI advantage would simply give them more opportunity to root deep inside everything in America and look at and take whatever they want.

And yes, the rich, great, big, huge tech giants are gonna make all kinds of money. But that hasn’t stopped you from using their technology, their apps, their hardware, their software, platforms, all of which is on data centers. Including everything from family photos to delicate financial documents and information.

So what did I open with? Democrats, bullshittery.

Blue states are losing their minds over AI data centers. They’re passing laws to ban them. That means they’re ceding to all the other states, red, purple or otherwise, everything good about data centers. Infrastructure, energy infrastructure, Jobs, commerce, and tax revenue. Everything. Red states can have it. The blue states don’t want it.

And why don’t they want it? The Chinese Psyop on water. we’ve talked about it a few times, but we are going to talk about it again.

To preface:

The scientific basis for social distancing was made up. Well, that’s what they’re saying now. July 22nd 2020 granitegrok.com

No one can prove it works or does not. There are no clinical trials. In fact, the basis for the theory comes from a 14-year-old high school science project back in 2006, a computer model developed with the help of her dad, who has no medical training or experience, which of course makes sense because it didn’t have any sense to it whatsoever.

Remember plastic straw bans? Everybody wanted to ban straws. The number everyone came up with, 500 million straws a year, just like social distancing, came from somebody, but nobody’s been able to confirm it. Nobody even bothered. The 500 million number is repeated over and over and over. And in fact, plastic straws aren’t necessarily worse for the environment. Paper straws have a higher carbon footprint on both ends, and, rdiculously enough, most paper straws come in what? A little sanitary plastic bag.

We chose not to believe those things or to challenge them or to question them because they didn’t make a lot of sense.

And Democrats were losing their mind over it.

You now must choose to believe that the water lie was in fact a Psyop. Now, the source of that was a book by a woman named Karen Hao H A O. I’m sorry if I pronounced that wrong. China jumped on it. All the anti data center people jumped on it, and they’ve been spreading this rumor about all this water that AI data centers have to have, or else it’s not true.

Turns out she was off by a factor of a 100,000 And she has, in fact, acknowledged this error, as you can see from the X tweet, and she’s working on fixing it. we don’t want to wait for her. Quote: As it turns out, data centers, all data centers, not just the ones dedicated to AI, use less water than golf courses do. In fact, they use a fraction of 1% compared to golf courses.

That it actually could be a rounding error. Data centers in total use a fraction of 1% of the water used for all agriculture. Pistachios need over 600 times as much water each year, and almonds require more than 1,000 times as much water annually as all AI data centers combined. Residential pools, a sign of white supremacy and privilege, if ever there was one, use 100 times as much water a year.

Lots of things likely use more water than AI, including people washing their cars in their driveways, yard watering, for example, and the list goes on. And these are all things we could probably cut back on without compromising energy infrastructure, national security, and your privacy. Remember, China likes to mine data and they will, and they will use AI to do it.

And yes, your own local governments will use it as well. But here’s the thing: you elect those people. You can elect people who will not surveil you, who will not put cameras every other corner, who will not collect that data You have control over that. You can prevent that.

You can also stand up and say, I don’t want any AI data centers. But remember, Democrats don’t want them. They’re screaming from the hills. They’re banning them in their states. That’s a signal. They’re always wrong. Rethink it. Do some research. And remember, you were lied to about everything during COVID. You were lied to about social distancing. You were lied to about plastic straws. The entire global warming environmental movement.

And those are the same people who are saying AI data centers are bad for the environment. It’s all bullshit. That’s what I’m trying to tell ya.

Take a deeper look.

I think you’ll find AI is a good thing.

That’s it for today.

And yeah, this is numbered episode 214 because I skipped 214. So here it is.

Talk to you on Monday.

*This is tagged as episode 214 because while cataloging morning update episodes I discovered I’d skipped it. 214. It only seemed appropriate to record one, even if it would have been published on 7/10/26 instead of 8/29/26.
