But He’s Still Entitled to Due Process

Sure He’s a Bastard, But He’s Still Entitled to Due Process

With the release of Justice Department Inspector General (IG) Michael Horowitz’s report, we are forced to acknowledge our government is under attack. Who is attacking it?

We have people inside the government working against our interests. They are people who will lie, produce false information, omit information and skew the presentation of facts to improperly influence decision-makers. This is the gravest attack on America ever.

Our republic is under attack from within

They are the people who usurp authority constitutionally resting elsewhere. There are people who want to change America’s system of government. They want to take the country from three co-equal branches of government with a balance of power to a parliamentary system. Sure they hate Donald Trump but that is not the goal of the exercise.

We have confirmation, corroboration that the fourth branch of government exists. It is spread among the agencies of government, Intelligence, State, Justice, and the FBI. The cabal has motivation, organization and support from our Congress. It abets the actions of a political party. The motivation is simple; removal of our freedom and rights and accretion of power to them.

We know, if we read the IG’s report, that it addresses Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants for former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. But that investigation has opened a Pandora’s Box. What began as an intra-departmental look at potential procedural shortcomings reveals far more. It has given us a window on the conduct of the FBI and it hints at wider inter-agency interaction.

Inspector Horowitz Report

The Horowitz report said the FBI did not launch its probe out of bias. It continues by enumerating 17 significant errors in the documentation. The errors did allow the agency to spy on an American citizen. This government agency, the FBI, is working to spy on and frame a presidential candidate. The FBI according to its own IG was planting the seed for his ouster.

The agency’s own IG, a person paid to protect the agency, called the FBI’s actions the ugliest, most corrupt attempted political coupe in U.S. history… which the United States House of Representatives has chosen to act on. Sure he’s a bastard, but he’s still entitled to due process. The partisanship this whole lynching demonstrates how much danger America is in from within.

That this occurred at all is stunning. Make no mistake about it. What has gone on was an attack to take down a sitting president of the United States. It was manipulated to take the man down. But more importantly, it was done to remove him from office. The effect is to attempt to reverse a valid presidential election. The Democrats thought the electorate made a mistake. They did not like the result of the election. They seek to remove the object of their animus. Is this how we are going to handle all future presidencies? If we do what is the effect?

Political bias

The Democrats engaged their friends, governmental agencies and select foreign governments, as soon as we put Trump into office. They are essentially overthrowing a duly elected government. This is an outrage that demands the most severe consequence our criminal justice system has to offer. The FISA warrants were to surveil American citizen Carter Page. But Page was a proxy, nothing more than a window through which to spy on a presidential campaign and then a president.

All of the 17 errors that the IG identifies were indicative of the desire first to get Donald Trump and then to continue spying and wiretapping. What we now know is that Donald Trump was right from the beginning. He said they were spying on him and wiretapping him. The media made fun of him. The stories were replete with ridicule, condemnation, and belittlement of him. But he was not wrong. The FBI had no right, duty or responsibility to commission a crime against him. His fourth amendment rights were feloniously taken from him… with court approval. Sure he’s a bastard, but he’s still entitled to due process.

Although his law enforcement terminology may not have been on point; he was right. Wasn’t he? And every one of the 17 errors identified by the I.G. going against the president and in favor of the radical leftist ideologues indicates no conclusion other than bias. Both Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham call into question the conclusions of the Horowitz report.

What has someone said about you in a bar that might be actionable?

Durham is doing a criminal investigation into the investigation of the Trump campaign for alleged collusion with Russia. What this comes down to is the FBI believes it can investigate anyone based on what someone heard in a bar. But it does not end there. They also know they can then run with it. If they can do this to the President of the United States what do you think they will do to you? What value do our constitutional protections have if we allow this to go unpunished?

The report makes it difficult for us to believe that all the errors were a collection of random mistakes. The I.G. says there were significant inaccuracies and omissions. His description is that agents, plural, on multiple occasions, did fail to meet their basic obligations. He made clear that every step of this operation had communication up to the highest level of the FBI. That is pretty damning stuff. It is actionable.

The IG found there were many basic and fundamental errors made. Those errors were made by three, separate, and select teams. Those teams were working one of the most sensitive FBI investigations ever. There was a failure. That failure was not only of the agents, not only the operational team. It required a failure of the managers, the supervisors, and the senior officials in the chain of command. Why would anyone believe this ended with Director Comey and did not extend into the White House?

What does a commonsense review of the evidence tell us?

What are the chances of that happening without malice and forethought? Do you believe there is no bias, no animus, when everyone on three different experienced teams, the best and brightest, all make the same mistakes, all against one individual?

The FBI agent is the top of the American law enforcement pyramid. They have access to the best people, with the most training. The chances of 17 mistakes all working in their favor, against citizen Donald Trump is… just about beyond belief. This was bias manifesting itself in a series of felonious actions. The loser in all of this is the American Republic and We the People. Sure he’s a bastard, but he’s still entitled to due process… and so are we.
