This is how the Left operates. They cannot win a battle of ideas -in this case, Asshat’s anti due process gun-confiscation law- so they try to stifle any debate by silencing the opposition. By any means.

In this case, by blatantly lying about the reason Welch and others were wearing pearls to the hearing on Asshat’s gun confiscation law.

Never apologize to the mob. The apology becomes their next target. You weren’t contrite enough, or the apology was not sincere -you are just sorry you got called out not for the bad thing(s) you did, said- etc. etc etc.. All leading to – you need to sit this one out. And the next one out and the one after that. In other words, you have to shut up, forever.

While this from Tucker involves another genre of faux outrage, it is sound advice. Never bow to the mob. Never.
