On Wednesday November 7th Can We Blame A Video…

Ten days of blaming a YouTube video for the coordinated al Qaeda terrorist attack that resulted in four dead Americans in Benghazi Libya may yet turn out to be true.  That video, or more precisely the White House cover-up, might well be the last straw that tips a significant number of voters away from Obama, … Read more

What’s 5% of 4 Billion?

Answer:  The amount of money George Lucas saves by selling Lucasfilm now instead of waiting until 2013 when the long term capital gains tax on the sale of assets held more than one year rises from 15% to 20%. And Lucas is already a liberal-hypocrite-weenie so don’t expect him to invest the difference in a … Read more

Starbucks War On Women?

I’ve never been to Starbucks but they must have some darn good coffee there. Police were summoned to the Bradenton business “by the staff at Starbucks regarding a female that was in their lobby and was masturbating.”  – Smoking Gun The woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after a police officer, summoned by the … Read more

Barack Obama, Ben Ghazi, and Warren Wimmen Walk into a Bar…

Alternate title:  Jobs report – 65 million can’t find work, unemployment effectively zero. Alrernate alternate title:  If Barack Obama falls in the electroal forrest and the Main Stream Media doesn’t report it, did it really happen? Sigh. Tuesday can’t come soon enough.  That will not, however, be the end of it.  While Romney will very … Read more

Look For The Union Label…

ILFWU ad campaing promoted Union products in the seventies and early eighties
Look for the Union Label - for obstruction and delay in a time of crisis

That catchy tune from the 70’s/80’s ad campaign promoting Union made products might need to be re-spun with a new front man in the shadow of Hurricane Sandy.  Relief crews that drove all the way to New Jersey from Alabama were told thanks, but no thanks—we don’t want your help….because you use non-union labor.

This looks like a good time to Quote the President.

President Barack Obama vowed: “We are not going to tolerate red tape, we are not going to tolerate bureaucracy.”

Liberty will advance with Ovide as Governor

As the leader of a Republican organization focused on liberty in New Hampshire, I often come across people who refuse to go along with the party nominee in higher-end races and vote their conscience instead.

A vote on principle is certainly something of value and thankfully common among people who truly understand what liberty means. At the same time, it’s important for liberty-minded Republicans and independent-minded voters out there to consider that no person can possibly agree with them on every subject. For that reason, voting on principle sometimes requires a little more deliberation, especially in this election when the momentum of liberty counts so much on the results.

Coward. Politics over patriotism? No – politics over American lives

With more and more details about the murder of 4 Americans in Benghazi dribbling out, and nobody in the Obama Administration (White House, DoD, CIA, State) taking real responsibility for the “stand down” decision (“not us!!”) and the Mainstream press covering for them all in this worse-than-Watergate scandal), I am making the executive decision to … Read more

Live Fee Then Die – Say Hello To New Hampshire’s ‘Fee’ Staters?

The left has tried to turn the Tea Party into their boogeyman. But you know what the Tea Party wants?  They think we are taxed enough already.  Stop adding taxes.  Stop spending more money than we take in.  Stop making government cost so damn much that small business can’t hire to pay for what government we actually need.

And the Free Staters just want New Hampshire to keep its small government character.  They, like the Tea Party, prefer local control to being lorded over by the state or federal government.  Government, yes – but as local as it can be and small and efficeint.  And what’s truly funny about the Democrats attacks on the Free Staters is that many of these folks actually agree with Democrats on several issues.  Some of them are Democrats.

Which brings us to Democrats.

Democrats are easy.  More central government, more spending and growth of central government, more command and control, less local control and more taxes and fees to pay for it..  So what do you think?  From now on should we just refer to New Hampshire Democrats as “Fee” Staters?

Obama’s “Brown Shirts”

“I think when you spread the wealth around it’s good for everybody.”—Barack Hussein Obama

This is beginning to be scary stuff. The President of the nation has us all on a socialist track; He is driving the country into chaos and disorder; too many people do not have jobs;  He is increasing the grasp of government into our daily lives more as each day passes.

So use your imagination here. Ronald Reagan told us early on that,

“Outside of its legitimate function, Government does nothing as well or as economically as the private sector of the economy. For three decades, we sought to solve the problems of unemployment through government planning. And the more the plans fail, the more the planners plan. The Government can’t control the economy without controlling people. And they know that when a government sets out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. Somewhere a perversion has taken place. Our natural unalienable rights are now considered to be a dispensation of government. And Freedom has never been so fragile, so close to slipping from our grasp as it is at this moment.”

A Scary Pre-Election Government Run Health Care Update

I’m not sure I need to remind anyone of this but if we don’t let Republicans run state Government, and don’t elect Republicans to Washington, no one steps up to stop Obama Care.  The Federal health care-control apparatus, already a leviathan at the doorway, comes crashing in to our lives, never likely to leave.  There will be no going back, only tinkering with the tentacles.  Democrats want this, embrace it, and even encourage it.

And while they insist, honestly or not, that they are not trying to control life and death, this naivete can and will become our worst nightmare.

Notice us up there, in the upper right corner?

Below is a map showing the “business tax climate” in all 50 states. The worst such states are in dark blue. The best states are shown in white. Notice that there’s not one “small business friendly” state in the entire northeast? Other than New Hampshire, that is! And notice that four of the worst 10 states for small business are … Read more

IF You Can’t Take The Heat – Surround Yourself With More Bureaucrats

The Obama Czars exist to do Obama’s job. They are also there to deflect blame into the warren of unaccountable bureaucrats that have exploded around the Czars and cabinet agencies.  Bureaucrats are as nameless and faceless as the people whose lives they try to direct without fear of reprisal.  Bureaucrats don’t stand for re-election, nor do Czars.  And when trouble hits, the “elected” officials just shuffle the deck.  You are told it’s been taken care of but nothign really changes except that elections really will no longer matter.

So when Obama said he’d consider creating a new cabinet position entitled Secretary of Business, our expectations for Obama are once more met.  That’s not his job.  He’s too busy playing golf and running for office again.  And if you keep thinking it is his job, well how about another billion dollar taxpayer funded bureaucracy run by the Secretary of Business to absorb the blame.  Not Obama’s fault.  But he promises he’ll look into it.

And what?  Create another taxpayer funded bureaucrat or Czar or bureaucracy, or Blue ribbon panel to ignore as another firewall to protect him?
