The woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after a police officer, summoned by the staff to address the question of the woman’s self-determined “right’ to masturbate at Starbucks, asked to inspect the contents of her purse as a prerequisite to giving her a ride to the hospital. (She said she was going there and why is that not a surprise?)
If there is such a thing as a stupidity cascade this might be it. Woman has a pipe in her purse with cocaine reside on it. Decides the lobby at Starbucks is not a barrier to the auto-eroticism. Police show up and ask to search her purse. She says yes.
