Guest post by Jim Adams: “DERELICTION of DUTY”

DERELICTION of DUTY

Veterans, the Benghazi massacre showed Obama’s true concern and his real agenda regarding the safety of our troops and Americans on foreign soil. As the truth continues to come out in bits and pieces, through little help from the national media, the evidence is very clear. Obama’s Rose Garden comments were the beginning of the worst cover-up and distortion of the truth seen in this country since the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution that led to our ever-deepening commitment to a war in Vietnam. Whatever the virtues of stopping a vicious Communist takeover of a predominately Christian nation (South Vietnam), LBJ’s political expediency trumped making an honest case to the Congress and the American people. Much like today, his political dissembling to the nation had the effect of snatching stalemate or worse from the jaws of victory ~ at terrible cost.

The highest ranking Administration personnel watched this well-planned and executed military-style attack take place, in real time via camera link from predator drones. Meanwhile, the Obama spin team crafted the clumsy lie; that it was a spontaneous response to a provocative YouTube video degrading Islam. When Obama endorsed this fabrication in the Rose Garden, he also apologized to the Islamic nations regarding the video and stated that the guilty parties would be hunted down.

The truth: his administration is guilty of criminal dereliction of duty. Numerous requests were made for additional security for the consulate and embassy prior to the attack; yet each time they were denied, leaving all of those Americans in grave danger. However, even that incompetence pales in comparison to what actually happened on the night of the attack. Do you remember the famous White House Situation Room scene where the President watched brave Seal Team Six nail Bin Laden? Likewise, on September 11, 2012 the White House was getting a live-feed of exactly what was happening at the Benghazi consulate and knew from multiple real-time videos, that this was not a spontaneous demonstration.

Free Market Gets Water To Hurricane Victims Faster…

Nestle Pure Life Water gets there before FEMA doesThe first supplies of bottled water to arrive to aid those affected by hurricane Sandy did not come from FEMA, which has a large staging area in Georgia stocked with pallet after pallet of bottled water for just such an occassion.  Nestle America, without any coordination with FEMA or any government agency, provided half a million bottles (gratis) to a staging facility in Sommerset New Jersey, long before FEMA even got its water moving.

Conservative Guide to Dealing With Rioters

The left likes to accuse the Right of voter intimidation, but then says things like–if you don’t vote for Obama you are a racist, you hate women, you hate poor people, and if that doesn’t work….we’re going to riot. Given the trajectory of things my guess is that the inner city lefties will be eating … Read more

Romney versus the libertarians? Here’s where I stand.

Well, well, it seems that a last-minute storm has been brewed up by my posting about libertarians who are refusing to vote for Romney tomorrow. You can see it—and the video that prompted the posting—HERE. That caused quite a bit of reaction, both here and on Facebook, which in turn caused Grokster Skip Murphy to jump into the fray ‘with THIS POSTING after the Project’s redoubtable Chis Lawless opined that “The video wasn’t that much a convincer to be honest.” And that caused me to revisit my own reasoning and assumptions that impel me to vote for Romney tomorrow…which causes me to say this:

Brenda and John Grady – Toeing the Liberal Lie in Merrimack

I wasn’t going to expend any effort on these two, Democrats,  more moderate on their face than most I am told by some, but Democrats none the less.  But today (Sunday), they dropped off a page of printed nonsense at my home which requires some attention.

There are four bullet points on their missive to which they claim to object.  Downshifting costs to local government, the cost of college education (the reduction of State University funding), Gridlock (Washington and Concord), not listening to constituents instead of talking to them.

The Grady’s are making the case (without ever mentioning that they are Democrats) that they deserve your votes so they may right these so-called wrongs.  But by refusing to admit to their own pedigree or its history they–intentionally or not–participate in a deception that does the people of Merrimack a great disservice.

FaceBook Doodlings: Libertarians & Free Staters: let me amplify what Tim said about Tuesday

Tim put up this post, urging movement Libertarians to consider how they’d be voting on Tuesday:

If you are a libertarian, or if you are a Free Stater, or if you just believe in limited government, individual freedom, and personal responsibility….

David Mamet, the famed playwright that was hard Left and just veered Right after finally realizing what the results of the Left have done, put it another way (even as he was speaking to Liberal Jews, it fits here):

Are you prepared to explain to your children not the principles upon which your vote is cast, but its probable effects upon them?

Go read the whole thing.  Tim’s post started a bit of a conversation on Facebook and I waded in (note: I’ve not been active on FB for a while but given the tenor (pretty much, I “went there”.  Now Leah was the main respondent and we’ve been friendly ever since we met when the TEA Party decided to “meet & greet” back in 2009 when Obama sojourned to Portsmouth, NH.  On FB, she expressed an attitude that many Libertarians seem to hold:  both Romney and Obama are pretty much communists and there’s no difference between them (and many view Romney as actually being worse).  The comment that set me off was one about Romney not being able to reverse what Obama has done:

He is not a king, and cannot just make a pronouncement that he declares a law null and void.

Have you not been paying attention!!  What the heck do you think Obama has actually been doing????  My response (edited to be more bloggish and a bit more expanded here):

Blogline of the Day: by Instapundit’s Glen Reynolds

“let me just say that if Obama wins on Tuesday, I intend to be every bit as gracious and cooperative as the Democrats were in 2000 and 2004.” here.  And remember, we will only be mirroring what US Senator / US Senate Majority Leader  and Democrat Harry Reid said if Romney wins: “Mitt Romney’s fantasy … Read more

Obama: I will bankrupt the coal industry

When is the last time you saw a Gadsden Flag on a coal barge?  Remember what he said just before the last election? (H/T: Chicago Boyz via Instapundit)

So Dan Eaton wishes to “To restore transparency, civility and fairness to the institution”. Fine – how about Ethics, Dan?

The Sentinel asked why Democrat Dan Eaton, who resigned from the NH House due to ethics charges, why he was running.  Well, the guy seems to have a pair (if nothing else):  “To restore transparency, civility and fairness to the institution

Riiiiiiight.  If I remember right, he resigned when he became under an investigation of a “lapse in ethics” – does this mean he’ll be “transparent” as to the charges AND why he resigned?  And the stories are that he wasn’t all that civil about things, either.  So, what IS fairness, Mr. Dan?    And why now is a better time for you to be back in the NH House, again, now that you are a “resignee”?   A mailer that went out to folks in that area was forwarded to me (note: you HAVE to like the name of the PAC – “the “Do You Know Who I AM” PAC.  And that’s his brother, the Chair??):

Well, seems like Dan might have been the bad boy, eh?   The PAC goes on to list the Top 5 Reasons To REJECT Dan Eaton for State Representative:

What I have been hearing about Voter Fraud

The Democrats tell us voter fraud doesn’t exist…except when they lose an election.  Early voting for the 2012 election has begun and reports are already flowing in about voter fraud.  It’s amazing that all reports to date are giving votes to Democrats, in particular President Obama.

Below are some voter fraud techniques:

Voter Machine tampering.  Voting machines have been reported to be malfunctioning.  People in North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio and either Kansas or Iowa (I can’t remember which, possibly both) have reported that when they push the button for Mitt Romney, the machine selects Barack Obama.  So far, no reports of Obama votes being changed to Romney votes … you would think if this was a random problem, some Obama votes would go to Romney but no reports so far.  One wonders how many Romney votes have been converted to Obama votes before the machine “failure” was noticed.  Hopefully early voting will have found and corrected all these mistakes or tampering… but I wouldn’t bet on it.  If you are using a voting machine, check carefully before finally submitting your ballot.

Re-Elect Jeanie Forrester

Despite years of Democrat condemnation of rich bankers, Senatorial candidate Bob Lamb shows that rich bankers can even be applauded if they parrot Democrat talking points, promote the special interest groups that fund Democrats, and help the Democrat Party extend its control over the lives of the American people.

Describing lawsuits against him and other executives, Lamb says, “these lawsuits never went to trial, and no factual determination was ever made that the allegations were true.” This strange wording proves nothing.  Similar wording, e.g., “no criminal court ever determined that I killed Nicole and Ron” allows OJ to claim innocence.

Lamb seems like a nice guy but he repeats the old Democrat complaints and promises.  Did Democrats improve your life when they controlled the NH Legislature (2007-2010)? E.g., did they fix all the roads and bridges?  No.  But, they raised our cost of living and hurt NH employers with 99 new or increased taxes and fees.

Blogline of the Day – a take off on Joe Biden

Joe Biden, running mate of Obama, is oft heard to say “Obama is dead and GM is alive”.  Over at The Corner: “Chris Stevens is dead and the UAW’s pension plan is alive.“ That would be Ambassador Chris Stevens to Libya, murdered in Benghazi.  And the GM UAW union workers’ pensions are alive because the … Read more

After months of hearing about Ladyparts, NOW we hear about Obama’s Manparts?

Speaking to reporters after President Obama’s rally in Lima High School in Ohio Friday, longtime adviser David Axelrod said that the incumbent has never been more fired up. “I’ve known him for 20 years. We’ve worked closely for 10 years. I’ve never seen him more exhilarated than he is right now. He believes in what … Read more

Obama: Revenge. Romney: For Love of Country

The true Obama is coming out – contrast with what Romney thinks.

“He asked his supporters to vote for revenge.  For revenge.  Instead, today I ask the American people to vote for love of country.”

(H/T: Instapundit)  Again, Romney was not my guy in the primary; in fact, there were almost as many choice before Romney as there were his opponents in the primary.  But yes, THIS is what I want to hear from a President, for love of country, and not seeking revenge on one’s political opponents.  Obama has shown us yet another glimpse of his real side in that gaffe (““No, no, no. Don’t boo. Vote,” he said. “Voting is the best revenge.””).  I need to hunt down that video because it absolutely BEGS the question: “Revenge for WHAT?”

Here it is:

It’s Time for Us to do Our Part

Four years ago was historic. The first black president was inaugurated. For the first time, a former First Lady became the Secretary of State. It was the first time the Democrats controlled the Oval Office, House of Representatives, and the Senate since the nineties. It was the first time I stopped yelling at the news and rolled my lazy butt off the couch and started actively participating in the political discourse (okay, that part’s not really historic).
