Breaking News – Dems DO nominate Pelosi for yet another term

by Skip

As the US House election results were coming in, the knives within the Democrat House Caucus were coming out – for her. Expected to steal more seats from the Republicans and head closer to a supermajority, under Nancy Pelosi’s tutelage, they lost seats – perhaps as many as 13 when all is said and done. … Read more

Trump: Pelosi No Longer Speaker of the House

Ah, President Trump. The man knows how to push buttons, how to drive a news cycle, and certainly how to get the left worked into a tizzy fit over, well, nothing. At the UN, while meeting with the President of Ukraine, he claimed that “as far as [he’s] concerned, she’s no longer Speaker of the … Read more

Marshall ‘Lee’ Quandt Want’s To Be The Next Republican Speaker of the NH House…

Rumor has it that Marshall ‘Lee’ Quandt want’s to be the next Republican Speaker of the New Hampshire House……which is a huge problem, because Lee Quandt is not exactly a Republican to begin with.

Despite that barrier, and a public opposition to liberty, the scuttlebutt is that RINO Marshall ‘Lee’ Quandt still thinks he’d make a great speaker of the House, and he is already trying to build a coalition, and publicly endorsing other House Republican candidates who have told him they would back his move once the House meets to choose the next Speaker.

This is disturbing for several reasons.

Somebody gave me this email that Speaker of the House Bill O’Brien sent out yesterday…

It went out to all the Republican State House members. It is about the defeat of CACR-12, the school funding constitutional amendment. It shows, in part, why O’Brien is so good at his job. He may be the best, most principled Speaker the New Hampshire State House of Representatives has had in the past 100 years or more. Read on….

Speaker of the State House Bill O'Brien

From: O’Brien, William
Sent: Thursday, June 07, 2012 4:56 PM
To: Republican House Members
Subject: CACR 12 and House Republicans

Dear Republican colleagues,

Last March, House leadership held a press conference in which we announced that we would work with the Governor in an effort to craft a compromise education funding amendment. We said then, and still believe, that having the Governor’s support would be critical to achieving 2/3rd of the popular vote in November. That said, we also pointed out that if we were going to compromise with the Governor on passing an amendment, it would be critical that the Governor…

New Hampshire vs. European Union: We win.

Damn. I can’t resist sending this article along. Forbes magazine is just too good. The quote that follows is from “”Let’s Face the Facts: Greece is Cooked, Along With Merkel.” Interestingly, it explains why New Hampshire—with the GOP super-majorities under the extraordinary effective leadership of Speaker Bill O’Brien—is going to become “the little state that can…be … Read more

JOHN LYNCH: A STEADY LEADER…WHEN?

“Without initiative, leaders are simply workers in leadership positions.” Bo Bennett

Shrill_Kathy_Chronicals_Grok.jpg

In a letter to French Scientist Jean-Baptiste Le Roy in November of 1789, Benjamin Franklin quipped those ever long-enduring and famous words, “[B]ut in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes … ” It would appear Franklin had not contemplated the certainty of blow-hard political hacks and self-aggrandizing opportunists.

Upon Seeing the Union Leader Headline Tuesday, “Gov. Lynch will leave office very popular, and for good reason“, and who the author was,  predictable is the litany and diatribe that follows. And, with the whole and complete certainty of death and taxes, the “Shrill Kathy” hath delivered. In the 779-word bloviation, the “Shrill Kathy” delivered a mere 199 words extolling Lynch’s virtues and reserved the remaining 580 words for her usual and expected attack on Republicans, checkered with a contrast and comparison-like tone…Make no mistake about it…Lynch’s announcement, as with most other political events, is a mere pretext for her visera.

Teri Norelli Cries Foul on the Budget: Insert Yawn Here

“If you put the government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there’d be a shortage of sand.” ~Milton Friedman, Economist Democratic leader Terri Norelli takes pen to the Union Leader this morning to decry the Republican budget. Norelli does a masterful work in her use of descriptors and categorizations demagoguing the Republicans … Read more

It didn’t happen that way! MacDonald’s video was doctored!

There’s a picture below of Nancy Pelosi showing her with a bottle of Tabasco after she gave up the power she wielded on behalf of the political/government/ruling classes for the past four years. That picture is a true depiction of the former-Spaaker. But immediatley below that is a video clip that Steve MacDonald put in, and it was doctored! John Boehner never whacked Pelosi with the gavel in the way the video shows. No! It was subtly changed to make Boehner look more modereate! Watch  MacDonald’s video two posts below…and then watch this one, and you’ll see what really happened at the gavel-passing ceremony. The difference is subtle, but important. To find out what really happened, watch this….

Bill O’Brien and Gene Chandler put New Hampshire first

It is gratifying to see Speaker-designate Bill O’Brien and Speaker Pro Tempore to-be Gene Chandler working together for New Hampshire. Although I intensively supported O’Brien in the race for the Speakership, I also noted that Gene Chandler "led his party honorably in the past" and as the last "real" Republican Speaker of the House, "served his State and his party … Read more

Elephant Innards

Any migration of Republicans away from a vote for “Speaker O’Brien” might say more about Gene Chandler than it does Bill. It might mean that Gene was either insincere in his request for unity–and I am on the record both commending him and taking him at his word for that stance–or it demonstrates his inability to control even those who would have chosen him as their House Speaker.
