Syrup of Ipecac For Lee Quandt

“A moment’s reflection shows that Liberalism is entirely negative. It is not a formative force, but always and only a disintegrating force.” —Francis Parker Yockey

RINO (ry•/n oh)  noun. (acronym)

            Republican in name only

  1. A person who runs for, or holds political office representing one’s self as a “Republican” but who adopts, votes for or advocates for political tenets that advance an agenda contrary to conservatism or the Republican party platform.
  2. A member of the Republican Party who is liberal.
Representative Lee Quandt (R)ino

One of our own RINO’s in the legislature has taken up the mantle of Charlatanry. But what makes this RINO Charlatanry so noteworthy is his engagement in tactics typically found on the left. People like Raymond Buckley, Kathy Sullivan, and Harrell Kirstein. Not only noteworthy are the tactics, but the very word choices used in the description.

This RINO writes, ”

“Aren’t these, along with the free stators, the same group that is reducing health insurance coverage for you and your families? Aren’t these the same people who are wiping out your consumer protection coverage that protects you from unscrupulous predatory business practices, like pre-buy oil contracts? I think they are.”

Wasn’t that first spoken by a Democratic activist? Then there is this little morsel…see if it looks all too familiar…

“their out of control agenda….”

Right out of the mouth of Terri Norelli and “Shrill” Kathy Sullivan!….Oops! NOPE! They didn’t say it this time….SO, who said it?

New Hampshire House Representative Marshall “Lee” Quandt  (R)INO of Exeter, Rockingham District 13

Representative Quandt a/k/a “Lee” Quandt took to the blogosphere to grossly mischaracterize an opposite Editorial written by Carolyn McKinney in the Concord Monitor yesterday (You will note, I provided the link to both sets of texts because readers should be capable of reading for themselves what is written and forming opinions)

Quandt writes,

I was reading the Concord Monitor this morning and there was an article about the NH Republican Liberty Caucus and how wonderful they are. If you know them and have been attacked by them it was quite sickening.” Sorry, Lee missed that part in Carolyn’s piece.

Quandt asserts,

“They claim not to be free stators; but, appear to be cross bread as an organization, the groups seem to be made of the same people. So now that they are being brought out into the open are running for cover.”

Yet Carolyn writes,

The Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire is a state chapter of a national organization formed long before the Free State Project. We are not officially allied or linked with the Free State Project. Our philosophy is clearly laid out on our website, RLC.org: “At the Republican Liberty Caucus we believe that less government means more liberty. We advocate the principles of individual rights, limited government, and free enterprise.”

Just a couple of examples…The full texts (above) to both have been included so you don’t have to take this writer at his word, you can read them for yourself.

But this much I know about Lee Quandt. He might have an “R” next to his name, but this is the same Republican who joined Unions and closed ranks with the opposition on right to work. This is the same Lee Quandt who showed up at an NRA legislative dinner kissing the asses of gun advocates for an endorsement and then votes against gun bills in the legislature. This is the same Lee Quandt who advocates for the status quo in the current state budget with the democrats who gave us over a hundred new fees and taxes and the huge budget deficit.

When Lee Quandt writes this blog, his narrative references two things: Carolyn McKinney, the author and the Concord Monitor. The remainder is his interpretation and spin of what Carolyn wrote, which was grossly distorted and wrong.

How honest, exactly, is it to make such interpretive suppositions but then fail to provide the actual source or the source quotes… or text commented on, for that matter?  I read Lee Quandt’s rant; I then read Carolyn’s article.  Both are referenced and linked to in their entirety. Pure Charlatanry is what Quandt’s blog is….Even from RINO’s one does not expect this kind of sniveling.

Finally, Blogs mostly are “interactive,” meaning readers can leave comments on entries. Lee has not provided that, which I interpret as rank cowardice.  So aside from being a pandering charlatan RINO, Quandt is also a rank coward.

So Lee Quandt can just go ahead and vomit, and let the Republican Liberty Caucus be your “syrup of Ipecac,”  because we the conservative-leaning ilk have had a belly full of Quandt’s brand of Republican liberal rhetoric, and I am more than satisified with the evidence that proves him a RINO.
