On the morning of May 16, I was at the New Hampshire State House handing out flyers to state reps urging them to vote for SB272, the parental rights bill, on behalf of Cornerstone. There were people crowding the hallway that morning, and the majority were there to lobby against the parental rights bills.

After-Action Observations on the Parents’ Rights Rally in Concord
“I Will Not Co-Parent With the Government.” That sign and others like it appeared in abundance in Concord on Tuesday. That was the prevailing sentiment of the strong and positive crowd assembled in front of the Capitol in Concord this past Tuesday, April 18, 2023, as a prelude to the House hearing on HB272, a bill codifying parental rights of school children.

Hey, New Hampshire – Here’s a Summary of How The Democrat Majority Legislature Voted this Session
Note – look at each vote total and ask yourself “Who Chooses”? Does this diminish MY right to choose for myself or does it enhance the State’s Power in making those decisions for me (i.e., reducing my Liberty and Freedom and others deciding “it’s good/best for you that WE decide”)? -Skip
ReOpenNH Concord Rally MicroInterview with Ruth
Soon after I had talked with Anne Copp, I ran into Ruth and asked if she had time for a quick interview: She not only is ticked that she has to protest to get her Rights back but that the Media has been lying to us (hey, Media, you listenin’?). And she, too, is worried … Read more

ReOpenNH – Before the Rally and sometime during the middle: Govt signs
Heh! I was not surprised when I got to the State House just a tad before 11am (the Rally has been advertised to start around noon); no one was there. It was clear, however, that the Government agencies could read and monitor social media as well as anyone else and had prepared a welcome sign … Read more
So kids, what did we learn from Thursday’s House Session (Morning: 02/20/20)?
We learned that in the morning some very good things took place. So I will start with that. The Merrimack Delegation stood together to honor the late Hon. Pete Batula. He was a good man. May his memory be a blessing always. The House made note to honor Black History Month, with members of the … Read more
So kids, what did we learn from Thursday’s House Session (06/27/19)?
We learned that even when the House and Senate sit down together in Committees of Conference to settle their disagreements on really bad legislation that the resulting legislation can still be really bad legislation, especially when it comes to our State’s Budget. Proof that sometimes more than 2 heads are not better than one. We … Read more
Rick Notkin – candidate for NH State House, Belknap County District 2
Recently I was asked why I was running for NH State Representative. The easy answer would be that I was corralled into it. Really, there was an open seat as one of the reps was not running for re-election so I had an opportunity to “put my money where my mouth was”, so to speak.
One of the main reasons that my wife and I moved to New Hampshire was the lower level of government intrusion into people’s lives. My overall view is supporting free-markets and individual liberty. I believe that when people have the freedom to engage in capitalism, the free market can solve many problems that arise. I also believe people should be able to run their own lives, as long as they don’t interfere with the rights of others.
Proponents of government programs and projects usually proclaim that given problems will be solved. “Leave it to us” actually seems to mean “you can’t handle it yourselves”. More insidiously, the actions (or inactions) of bureaucracies that are put in place to run the program often can’t reach the goals that were set.
