“Maggie the Marxist” – she choose diapers over students??

I just shake my head at stuff like this; from the Daily Caller: “Diaper Need Awareness Day” comes on the heels of Connecticut Democratic Rep. Rosa DeLauro’s introduction of the “Diaper Investment and Aid to Promote Economic Recovery Act (DIAPER) Act,” which would provide diapers and supplies to low income families via child care providers … Read more

But Tony, we JUST got rid of “Republicans for Lynch”- and yer gonna be a Founding member of “MaggieRINOs”?

Yep, that would be this guy: " former Republican state Rep. Tony DiFruscia".  he’s front and center for the first dump of 125 "community leaders" for Maggie "HassanSpeech" Hassan. We’ve written or mentioned him before (here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here; he’s a Fav!).  He got rather peevish when these went … Read more

MAGGIE “THE MARXIST” HASSAN IS RUNNING

“Ask anyone committed to Marxist analysis how many angels on the head of a pin, and you will be asked in return to never mind the angels, tell me who controls the production of pins.” —Joan Didion

Maggie_The_Marist_Hassan_GROK.jpg

Defeated Democratic state Senator Maggie Hassan made it official today that she will be running for governor in 2012. In her usual hokum, Hassan touted the typical big government solution to prop up the economy. As reported in the Union Leader, Maggie the Marxist, “stressed the need to create jobs by “investing” in education and job training programs and by fostering a business climate that attracts innovative small businesses and new technologies.” Translation: “investing” equals big-government spending and solutions…equals heavy taxation to raise such revenues. Such notions were brought with her as a carpet-bagging “massplant” to the Granite State.

The Union Leader reported that “Maggie the Marxist” pledged to be a fiscally responsible governor who would veto any sales or income tax and commit herself to a balanced state budget.  This is laughable given her extensive record as a State Senator.  My fellow Blogger Steve MacDonald absolutely nailed it on back October 5th when he wrote:

Hassan is a left wing, government first, spend then tax Democrat who wants socialized medicine, supports abortion from conception to birth (also here), and was more than willing to trample on opponents with the “Sullivan/Hassan Hates Speech (the left can’t control) amendment.” (also here, and here, …)  She is also willing to lie about her opponents to get re-elected.

Grok TV Event: Grafton County Republicans – Ovide Lamontagne

At last night’s Columbus Day Dinner, Ovide Lamontagne was there.  Although I got the sense that he was there to give the Invocation (yet to be posted), he was also given the opportunity to address the crowd as he is currently the only Republican who has entered the race for NH Governor (actually, the only … Read more

JOHN LYNCH: A STEADY LEADER…WHEN?

“Without initiative, leaders are simply workers in leadership positions.” Bo Bennett

Shrill_Kathy_Chronicals_Grok.jpg

In a letter to French Scientist Jean-Baptiste Le Roy in November of 1789, Benjamin Franklin quipped those ever long-enduring and famous words, “[B]ut in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes … ” It would appear Franklin had not contemplated the certainty of blow-hard political hacks and self-aggrandizing opportunists.

Upon Seeing the Union Leader Headline Tuesday, “Gov. Lynch will leave office very popular, and for good reason“, and who the author was,  predictable is the litany and diatribe that follows. And, with the whole and complete certainty of death and taxes, the “Shrill Kathy” hath delivered. In the 779-word bloviation, the “Shrill Kathy” delivered a mere 199 words extolling Lynch’s virtues and reserved the remaining 580 words for her usual and expected attack on Republicans, checkered with a contrast and comparison-like tone…Make no mistake about it…Lynch’s announcement, as with most other political events, is a mere pretext for her visera.

Did Maggie Hassan…Just Take A Step To The Right?

which%20way.jpgNow that she has so much free time on her hands, former State Senator Maggie Hassan is proudly advocating for her newest hobby, the group No Labels.  This means that Maggie ‘The Red’ Hassan is advocating for moderate debate that is open to all sides with a goal of non-partisan compromise.  I also hear that Michael Vick would like to buy a dog?

I’d sooner trust Vick with the dog.

This is a woman who tried to socialize medicine in-state, legislate away free speech she objects to, advocates for abortion from conception to delivery, and is committed to advance the size, scope, control, and cost of the government.  If she has a middle ground, it is not just left of center, it is far left.  So Hassan advocating No Labels is like Kathy Griffin, or Janeane Garofalo advocating tolerance.

It’s only funny because it is so absurd.

But could Hassan have had an epiphany?  Has her unexpected defeat resulted in a cathartic de-gentrification of her traditional ruling class elitism?   Is it possible that a woman steeped in the progressive super culture could abandon her pro-government/liberal materialism to spend forty days in the desert on a moderate vision quest? Or is this, more likely, just a flanking maneuver.

Maggie ‘The Red’ Hassan is advocating No Labels because she wants to be governor Hassan; think of it as an undocumented progressives worker program or Fascists anonymous–only it’s not about recovery or remission, it is about hiding who you really are from the voters until after you get elected.

But it can only happen if we allow it to. So let us agree not to allow it.

And for those who caught the Rocky Horror Picture Show reference, take a jump of your own and get your reward.

Feds Play The Lynch Shell Game With Themselves

Taking a page from the John Lynch Playbook, the Federal Reserve is planning to buy 500 billion in treasury bonds. This is the Federal Government taking money from it’s right pocket, putting it in its’ left pocket, then putting it back in the right pocket, and claiming to have 500 billion more to spend.

John Lynch is smiling…for now.

New Hampshire Republicans’ Gubernatorial loss to John Lynch may not mean squat.

Bubba to the Rescue?

Bill Clinton, the ONLY elected President to be impeached by the US House of Representatives, is coming to Nashua today, to stump for John Lynch. I guess Obama is isn’t campaigning today, busy in the bunker, trying to stay on top of the terrorist bombs that made it onto passenger planes, from Yemen, eh?

Felons for Lynch…Lynch’s Last Days…Part IV

Felons For Lynch, a new effort by Lynch opponents, reminds the voters of NH about Lynch’s support for SB500, which gives felons (including sexual predators) early parole and release from NH prisons.

DC Puppet?

A vote for John Lynch is a vote for Obamacare. John Lynch has not demonstrated any interest in protecting the state of New Hampshire from federal meddling of any kind.  He takes their money, strings attached, to hide his bad budgeting and big spending.  He’s accepted federal education money even though it was written with … Read more

Abusive Union supporting John Lynch

Warning-SEIU Supports John LynchRyan Williams (GOP Spokesperson) just pulled a Kathy Sullivan.  He’s filed a complaint with the AG over an out of state Ad attacking John Stephen.  The democrats of course think this is hypocritical, you know, to act just like they do.  And maybe it is.  Or maybe Kathy is afraid Ryan will get an  overflowing complaint drawer at the AG’s office just like hers.

Speaking personally my "interest" in out of state interests turns entirely on the lefts obsession with pretending they don’t use them or get money from them, and who they are really funded by.  That’s the real hypocrisy.  So maybe Ryan Williams is just making a point?

But is it the right point to make?

What’s the real issue with that Ad?

Are you better off than you were six years ago?

Are you better off than you were when John Lynch became Governor in January of 2005?  If every voter asks himself or herself this question, it is hard to see how John Stephen can lose.

Granted some of us are better off than we were six years ago.

Bond traders are better off.  One maneuver used by Lynch to hide the stratospheric budget deficit he has created was to borrow over $150 million to pay for current spending.  That is like taking out a credit card in your kids’ names to make the payments on your car loan, but no doubt some bond traders made some good commissions at the future expense of our kids.

Violent criminals are better off too.  They no longer have to serve their full sentences because, in an attempt to mitigate the budget deficit, Lynch signed a law that lets rapists, murderers and other violent criminals out of prison early.

And Lynch’s accountants, assuming they are paid by the hour, are better off too.  Lynch’s $150 million in borrowing to pay for current spending is just one of the many accounting gimmicks Lynch has used to mask his out-of-control spending.  Other ploys included crediting $80 million of federal education funding meant for the 2011 fiscal year to 2010 and overestimating revenues from projected sales of State assets.  Indeed, Lynch’s smoke-and-mirrors accounting was so inventive that he was able to announce a $70 million surplus for the 2010 fiscal year.

The vast majority of us, however, are not…

Yet another good reason why every conservative should be working his or her butt off to elect John Stephen

Yet another good reason why every conservative should be working his or her butt off to elect John Stephen

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it, so let’s think back to 2001.  Then Governor Jeanne Shaheen vetoed the Legislature’s plan to reapportion the House and Senate, and the State Supreme Court then took it upon itself to redistrict the State.

The result was a judicial gerrymander for the ages.  Quoting from the far-left “Blue Hampshire” website: “Ten Senate districts lean Democratic, led by three overwhelmingly Democratic districts: District 5 (Hanover and Lebanon area), District 10 (Keene area), and District 21 (Dover and Durham area). Six districts lean Republican, though none are as heavily partisan as the three Democratic districts.”  And that is even after subsequent legislation that watered down the judicial gerrymander in nine of the 24 senate districts!

The State Constitution directs the Legislature to…

A vote for Lynch is a vote for Obamacare

Obama repeatedly told us that Obamacare would reduce the cost of health insurance.  It does just the opposite.  The Congressional Budget Office says that premiums will double over the next six years.

But perhaps the biggest whopper that Obama told was that Obamacare would reduce the federal deficit.  The Cato Institute calculates that Obamacare will add more than $352 billion to the national debt over the next ten years, despite shifting $4.3 trillion of costs to businesses, individuals and state governments.

A total of 20 states have joined a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Obamacare.  New Hampshire is not one of them, despite the strong constitutional case against Obamacare.

The individual mandate, the lynchpin of Obamacare, is not authorized by either the Commerce Clause or the Necessary and Proper Clause.  The Commerce Clause gives Congress the power “to regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes.”  Not purchasing health insurance is not commercial activity, never mind interstate commercial activity.

Lynch’s Last Days – Part II

I don’t care what they are saying the benefits are, how much money it will save, or how this is being twisted by opponents – NO sexual predator should be released from prison early.
