The Worst Relationship the World has Ever Known

May 8, 2022 Steve MacDonald

If you have ever had any sort of relationship with anyone, you ought to have a keen sense (unless you are an obsessive naval gazer) that nothing about socialism could ever possibly work.

The Internet Didn’ Kill Libraries But Emily Drabinski Might

May 3, 2022 Steve MacDonald

Back when almost everyone and everything was trying desperately to get or “be” online the culture posited some ideas about what that might mean. Would we need paper anymore (the paperless office) and what about libraries?

Reminder: We Don’t Have What it Takes to ‘Go Green’

April 20, 2022April 19, 2022 Steve MacDonald

The Left’s all-in or nothing attitude about net-zero is one of their more disingenuous screeds. They’re ranting like lunatics and making more promises than a used Electric Vehicle car salesman with no car to sell you. IN other words, what they say, can’t be done.

To The Left, The Goal of Democracy is Always Tyranny

April 19, 2022 Steve MacDonald

The easiest way to determine how the party in power wants you to think (hint: it’s always the Democrats) is to read the messages their propagandists send out for your consideration.

Notable Quote – Don’t Let Socialists Define What Capitalism (As in “Greedy Corporations” and Profiteers)

March 8, 2022 Skip

Achieving profits is a condition of survival. Consumers leave no alternative for producers. If the products don’t satisfy consumers, producers won’t cover costs and won’t survive. The drive for profits is compelled by consumer preferences for better or more economically produced goods. Over time, competition displaces less satisfactorily performing producers – those who don’t earn … Read more

Really, from being bastions of Free Academic Research and Debate to backing up Cancel Culture. A great thing to have done, Dartmouth College. You’ve created an atmosphere of fear and repression that your students fear retribution. Do you consider this your Mission Accomplished?

I was sent shopping earlier today and can honestly say I’ve never seen so many empty shelves in the supermarkets. Not all of them but large gaps all over. I had to go to two stores to find a bag of frozen broccoli; that’s never happened before.

Progressives and their Cultural Ignorance – or is it Malfeasance??

February 2, 2022February 1, 2022 Steve MacDonald

I’ve been watching Perry Mason on HBO Max. It’s an origin story for the character. It’s very good, but as is often the case, they can’t help messing with it, or their writers end up showing their partisan ignorance.

December 26, 2021 Skip

We’ve been mentioning Howard Zinn, who was a BU professor, that wrote the book, “A Peoples History of the United States”, that is the subject of the video below.
