Alexa Rank Update: Grok Still #1 – Is NHJournal in Freefall?

November 24, 2021 Steve MacDonald

I’m a few days late with the monthly Alexa ran update but let’s write it off as moving the ball toward an end-of-month review. I was also waiting to see if some startling numbers changed before I published. Like how NH Journal has plummeted in global rank to lows not seen in months.

Welcome to SteveGrok!

November 6, 2021 Steve MacDonald

Apologies for all the Steve stuff over the past two days, but everyone else is tied up with life or busy. We do this as a hobby, so our authors will create or curate news and opinion when life allows. When it does not, I do most of the heavy lifting.

October 1, 2021 Steve MacDonald

Politics has poisoned nearly every well, so there is always more to talk about than time. But we try, and you did us the honor of making space in your day to read it. What did you read? There were about 400 new articles from which to choose and these are the top ten for September 2021.

Nitecap – ‘Grok Still on Top in Alexa Ranking (But we Have a New Number Two!)

September 20, 2021 Steve MacDonald

Before the pandemic – Before Pandemic (BP), Before COVID (BC), what many of us referred to as BS, I attended a presentation by AFP with the proprietor of Liberty Block NH. Elliot Axelman. I said something then that has come to pass.

Not everyone realizes this, but GraniteGrok has satellites. We call them MicroGrok’s or MGs. We’ve been muddling around with them for more than a year but with a goal and a purpose. To create local focal points for Conservatarian news and opinion.

Hobbyists With no Budget Continue to Dominate Political Bandwidth in NH

July 20, 2021July 18, 2021 Steve MacDonald

One of the most amazing things about our continued dominance in Alexa Rank across New Hampshire is the absence of a payroll. Authors work for free, no budget, no ad managers, or salespeople—just a few folks with some ideas on the internet.

July 15, 2021 Skip

Time changes, Time marches on…you know the drill. Nothing remains the same because Time hates the Status Quo. With Time comes changes and changes have certainly happened in the blogosphere since we opened in 2006.

Just a quick update to thank you for continuing to make us the leading digital/online news and politics destinations in the Granite State. It’s a position we’ve held since last December.

I Think GG May Need an Over Night Thread (ONT) to Call Our Own…

May 27, 2021May 26, 2021 Steve MacDonald

Ace of Spades HQ is famous for its Overnight Thread (ONT). The ONT is a basket full of deplorable links and goodies for your consumption at any hour, but it gets published at night, for the overnight, yes? I think we need one of those and here’s why.

ACTION ALERT! The “Windham Incident” Update / Learn What YOU Can Do!

May 20, 2021May 20, 2021 Ken Eyring

I believe the audit for the “Windham Incident” has lost all credibility because there is no way for observers to observe in a meaningful manner. “Trust but verify” is difficult, and in many cases impossible. While the AG’s office and auditors have responded to some concerns, they have repeatedly ignored most legitimate requests for transparency.
