Nitecap – ‘Grok Still on Top in Alexa Ranking (But we Have a New Number Two!)

Before the pandemic – Before Pandemic (BP), Before COVID (BC), what many of us referred to as BS, I attended a presentation by AFP with the proprietor of Liberty Block NH. Elliot Axelman. I said something then that has come to pass.

I thought it would be awesome if Grok and Liberty Block NH were number one and two in the Alexa ranking updates I occasionally share, and today, they are. GraniteGrok.com and LibertyBlock NH are the top two digital print media operations in our survey of online NH media.

The Union Leader, a print newspaper with an online presence, has been bumped to third place.

For the sake of clarity, we will need a few months of data to see if this sticks. The numbers from last month moved a lot and not just for Elliott’s online footprint. I hope it does, but there were some strange changes and giant leaps in both directions.

I see no new changes to how they collect data, and typically when we see these sorts of jumps, they balance out in successive months. Fingers crossed for Elliot as we move into the fall and winter when people stuck indoors are more likely to spend time online. With any luck, he’ll still be there come springtime.

Liberty Block has, in the past, spent several months at number four and number three on our survey, so that makes for promising news regarding their jump to number two.

It’s what the UL and Foster,s and the Monitor, and the rest deserve.
