My state rep, Catherine Sofikitis, who proudly kneels during the playing of the national anthem at the beginning of New Hampshire House sessions recently called military veteran Jacqueline Casey, her opponent in the state rep race for Nashua Ward 7, a white supremacist.
New Hampshire parents and teachers are now more than a month into what can only be described as the strangest school year in New Hampshire history, and I think that all of you deserve a round of applause for making it this far!
At times, I really do wonder how often those that we elect to be our representatives or those that are hired as our employees in the State of NH actually pay attention to the NH Constitution. Oh, wait! I have the answer:

The Nashua Board of Aldermen voted to pass an updated mask ordinance. “By a 13-2 vote, the Nashua Board of Aldermen approved an amendment to the city’s COVID-19 mask policy that says retail businesses must post “Face Covering Required” signs at their entrances and deny service to anyone who is not wearing a mask.”

Portsmouth’s City Council approved a mask mandate on a 7-2 vote last week. The city had fewer than five known active coronavirus infections the day the ordinance passed, meaning more councilors voted for the ordinance than there were active cases in the city, NH Journal pointed out.
On September 10, the majority on the Nashua Aldermanic Personnel/Administrative Affairs Committee voted in favor of an updated mask ordinance that would force Nashua businesses to be the mask police, with a penalty of up to $1,000 for non-compliance.
There was big coronavirus news for New Hampshire this week, and most of the media missed it. At his Thursday press conference, Gov. Chris Sununu displayed a graphic (pictured below) showing that the average number of coronavirus tests per day has more than doubled since mid-August.
