The NHGOP website has a feature on the front page that allows you to tell them, and everyone else–assuming they like what you wrote, why you are a Republican.  It’s called, “I’m A Republican.”

There are some quotes from a number of folks, some are county chairs, delegates, and so on, but I did not read what they wrote.  I was drawn to the pause between the quotes.  As they cycled from one to the next there was a blank pallet under the words “I am a Republican” that beckoned to me.  It cried out.  Mess with me.  Mess with me.  Mess with me.

Seems the Democrat Governors’ Association (DGA), of which NH Governor Hassan is vice chair, has sued the state of Connecticut this past April alleging that its campaign finance restrictions violate free speech. Could this be why NH’s own SB 120 , the “Incumbent Protection Act”, enrolled on June 4, 2014, has either not literally been signed by Governor Hassan, or was allowed to come into effect 5 days after being presented to her?

According to an article in Connecticut Mirror dated April 23, 2014, ‘”DGA has been forced into a constitutionally untenable choice: it can avoid the protected speech in which it seeks to engage; it can forego the support and participation of Connecticut’s citizens in raising the funds that it needs to maintain a robust national program; or it can entertain the very real threats of investigation, fines and criminal prosecution,” the lawsuit states.’

Most Americans know that illegal immigration hurts Americans and want our immigration laws enforced.  However, illegal immigration benefits the Washington political class, so President Obama, like several Presidents before him, doesn’t seriously enforce our immigration laws.

President Obama exacerbated our illegal immigration problem by announcing that he won’t enforce our laws against “young people”.  Now young people from around the world believe that President Obama welcomes them to come here illegally.

Previously most illegal aliens were adults who avoided border agents.  But President Obama’s announcements have enticed many tens of thousands of children to accept the dangers (e.g., illness, death, rape, enslavement) of traveling hundreds of miles to come here illegally.

House Democrats are apologizing to the IRS for having to be subjected to congressional oversight.  (Does the Democrat House orientation day actually cover the role of congress?  Just asking.)

This outpouring of liberal empathy for this domestic terror group–operating with the full force of law they claimed for themselves–comes as a result of other members of the US House grasping the important oversight role assigned to congress.  They are asking questions.  They are trying to determine who gave the IRS permission to target, intimidate (Bully!) private groups and citizens.  They are investigating actions taken and not taken, to insure equality, transparency, and efficient government for all Americans–things President Obama promised the people that the IRS is having a hard time delivering.

So are Democrats apologizing for Mr. Obama lying?

We told the NH legislature to wait before passing SB319 ( a bill to establish a 25 foot no free speech buffer zone around every abortion/women’s health care facility in the state), but they didn’t listen.  Now, a Supreme Court decision on a case in Massachusetts has made SB319 a violation of first amendment rights.  Funny.  Isn’t that what we said it was?

By unanimous decision the US Supreme Court has ruled that an abortion buffer zone in Massachusetts is unconstitutional and violates first amendment rights.

The justices were unanimous in ruling that extending a buffer zone 35 feet from clinic entrances violates the First Amendment rights of protesters.

If you add all the Obama budgets and the deficit you get some huge number with ‘Trillions’ after it.   Democrats took the taxpayers on a spending binge that doubled the deficit, burdened them with a massive new entitlement, encouraged middling to declining growth, the worst labor participation rate in decades, record Welfare, food stamp, and dependency, so what do they do?  They let millions of illegal immigrants in, complete with no skills, no grasp of our language, and any number of illnesses–not to mention real criminals.

So this news can’t possibly be that bad.

The Commerce Department revised its estimates of first-quarter gross domestic product Wednesday to show that the economy contracted at a 2.9 percent annual rate. A combination of shrinking business inventories, terrible winter weather and a surprise contraction in health care spending drove the first-quarter decline, which is the worst since the first quarter of 2009, when the economy shrank at a 5.4 percent rate.

Today we are celebrating the achievements of graduating students.  We applaud them and wish that they achieve their dreams.

While we are happy for those who are prepared for their next endeavor, we need to recognize that many of our schools are just not good enough for students or for our country’s needs.  Too many graduates are not prepared for the next level of education or for a decent job.  And, far too many students drop out of bad, dangerous and uncaring schools and end up poor and/or incarcerated.

Changing the names of top-down driven programs, e.g., now Common Core, previously No Child Left Behind, continues to fail and neglects the real problems anyway.
