In late January we reported the distress of a Muslim mom named Fatimah Shah. She was upset that her children were being taught LGBTQ dogma in a British primary school. Parents of the majority Muslim population eventually pulled as many as 600 children from a school that was “brainwashing their kids” and “aggressively promoting homosexuality.”

In mid-January GraniteGrok burst into fourth place, passing the Concord Monitor on the way there. With only the Union Leader, Fosters and SeacoastOnline still holding down the top three at the time. It is now March. Our daily traffic continues to climb, but our Alexa ranking has stalled. The Monitor has reclaimed its spot (for now – cue evil laughter). And GraniteGrok is back in 5th place with everyone else trailing.
The advocacy for gun control marches on in the Granite State. Since the Democrats gained a majority in both the New Hampshire House and Senate, they have made gun control a top legislative priority. Gun control measures that are more reflective of New York, New Jersey or Connecticut. The Left wants this. They can taste it. But why?
Democrats like to talk about spending tax dollars to improve education. Mention college tuition and you’ll get an earful about how the State needs to invest more (of your money) to keep the price down. So why did New Hampshire Democrats just vote against Free College?
I don’t care if you want to smoke pot. I think the existing rules that allow small quantities and provide for medical access are great. But the latest leap to regulate and tax under the banner of legalization is not a great idea. It will create a whole world of new troubles we may find too late are worse than what we had.

If you had not heard yet, Leadership Institute Field Representative Hayden Williams was attacked and beaten at Berkeley. The conservative was tending a table for Turning Points USA when Zachary Greenburg and a second unidentified individual approached him. An altercation ensued that was caught on video.
Boston University student Diana Soriano suggested to her peers that the classroom could benefit from more intellectual diversity. Most classrooms would. So, how was her suggestion received? She was compared to a well-known student who had been labeled a neo-nazi.
A few weeks ago Martina Navritolova remarked on how women with penises had an unfair advantage in women’s sports. She called it insane and said it was cheating. I noted that there might be a price to pay for that and it has come due. Navratilova has had to apologize in part.
Ilhan Omar’s latest “wrong turn” came when she said that pro-Israel advocates have allegiance to Israel. It’s an old trope. One that rubs plenty of Jews the wrong way regardless of political party. And just the latest of Omar’s antisemitic remarks. It is a problem that has put Nancy Pelosi at odds with her caucus.
The New Hampshire House will vote on March 7 on HB 158, an abortion statistics bill. Here’s where we’ll find out just how much the news out of New York and Vermont has influenced New Hampshire legislators. Are they distressed to be in one of the few states that leaves abortion unregulated throughout pregnancy? Then here’s a baby step: let our public health authorities at least find out how many abortions take place in New Hampshire.
The Hawaii State Senate wants the US Congress to consider repealing the second amendment. Well, at least they are honest about it.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the United States Congress is requested to consider and discuss whether the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution should be repealed or amended to clarify that the right to bear arms is a collective, rather than individual, constitutional right;
Merrimack, New Hampshire Democrat Wendy Thomas recently showed her support for a form of religious bigotry by liking a tweet responding to a local news piece about New Hampshire’s Education Scholarship Tax Credit. The tweeter wrote, “repeal this abomination of a “scholarship” and keep public school money where it belongs.”
