Trump’s Budget Proposes 2.7 Trillion in Cuts – Largest Budget Cut In US History?

Trumps biggest disappointment over his tenure (from our point of view) was spending. But he appears to be trying to rectify that. I’d question the timing. We’d have had a good deal more success cutting the budget with Republican majorities in both chambers, which is to say, at least a snowball’s chance in hell. With a Democrat majority House, we have none. But maybe that’s the point?

The proposed budget for the Merrimack School system is 77.6 million dollars. That’s the entire cost to run the district for one year. An endeavor that exists, at least in theory, with one purpose. Educate children. But not very many of them. Which begs the question? Why so much for so little?

Not So Elementary, Dear Watson – More Like Another Liberal Trope

I’ve been a fan of the show Elementary since it started. While some were put off by the idea of Dr. Watson being a woman or Moriarty (Natalie Dormer), I was good with it. It worked for me. And I enjoy Johnny Lee Miller’s Holmes. He’s the perfect high-functioning, socially awkward, savant. And until this year I’ve only had a few occasions to be put off by the writer’s liberal tropes coming out of Sherlock Holmes’ mouth.
