Eight Democrat candidates for President attended a left-wing Klan Bake in DC. Big to-do. The We the People Conference. An event that opened with the audience repeating the words of Joanne Chesimard, better known as Assata Shakur. A cold-blooded cop-killing domestic terrorist.
Somehow this is less provocative than a Christian kid wearing a MAGA hat on the Washington Mall.
Among the groups in attendance were the Sierra Club, MoveOn.org, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, SEIU and Communications Workers of America.
They were drawn to the conference to hear from a series of speakers that included 2020 Democratic White House contenders Cory Booker, Julián Castro, Beto O’Rourke, Amy Klobuchar, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Jay Inslee and Kirsten Gillibrand.
Shakur, like Castro, is a left-Wing hero.
In the early 1970s Chesimard belonged to a Black Panther offshoot known as the Black Liberation Army. “This case is just as important today as it was when it happened 40 years ago,” said a press release from Mike Rinaldi of the New Jersey State Police when the bounty was placed on Shakur. “Chesimard was a member of the Black Liberation Army, a “radical left-wing terror group that felt justified killing law enforcement officers…This group conducted assaults on police stations and murdered police officers.”
She was in a car pulled over by NJ State Troopers. The occupants opened fire on the officers. Shakur got out, took one officers pistol as he lay wounded, and put two rounds into his head.
Living Well above Castro’s Boot
Long story short she eventually ended up in jail but was broken out, probably by Cubans, and eventually ended up in Castro’s paradise as a celebrity in residence. Living well above the boot while the rest of Cuba lived under it.
Hero of the people, indeed.
But the perfect picture of what your world could look like under Democrat socialism. A place not far from where we are now. Where Democrats praise cop-killing Black Lives Matters and leftist-thug armies like Antifa for ending lives and suppressing natural rights respectively.
The only thing missing is another Government wholly run by the Left to protect them.
Let’s not let that it happen.
