Will Men Running as Women in the Boston Marathon Mean Fewer Women Competing?

2016 Boston Marathon Women

If a man can run as a “woman” in the Boston Marathon “she” need (only) beat a target which is half an hour slower than the men’s time. Was the Marathon’s goal to make sure more men and fewer women would participate?

Paula Radcliffe (a biological woman) holds the world record time for women in a Marathon. She’s concerned that these changes will make it harder for women to not just keep up but to even compete.

“The serious significance here is worse because Boston is notoriously difficult to qualify for.

“Opening women’s (qualifying times) up to any male who ‘self-identifies’ as female is unfair because the end result will be that female (Boston qualifying times) are made harder due to the added numbers achieving them.”

But, But But…

One user hit back that “people should be able to identify how they chose”, to which Radcliffe replied: “They can identify however they want to. Just not in a sporting competition where they can deprive a woman of a qualifying place.

“This is because qualifying times for women are slower than for men since biological men are capable of running faster than biological women.”

Blasphemy!

Of course, she is correct. New rules, Biological women hit hardest.

ICYMI: Will SB263 Require NH Schools to Allow Biological Boys to Compete in Girls Sports?

Hello! Ladies! Are you paying attention?

This is a product of the new culture crafted by the Identity Politics Left. The place where diversity and inclusion create a homogenized exclusion. By design.

Whenever a woman points this out, she is not praised for her independent thinking. She is challenged, pilloried into back-tracking, rephrasing, or apologizing. If she’s a Republican she might be threatened, doxxed, or worse.

Women are silenced over this.

So, the biggest threat to women’s rights? It is not the mythical resurgence of some white western patriarchy. It is the professional Left (include in that its tolerance for Sharia).

And while individual human beings have the right to “express themselves” however they wish when that expression infringes on the rights of others, or (as in this case) makes it difficult or impossible for biological women to participate or compete – how is that not a textbook definition of institutionalized discrimination?
