On transgenderism, the emperor has no clothes

(Note: emphasis mine. Steve posted about Shaun Cooke here.  -Skip] ***** A friend of mine recently commented on a Union Leader piece on a “woman” (above)who was being sought after not returning to transitional housing. It was accompanied by a photo of a bald man in a T-shirt with a scruffy beard. She was laughing. “Look … Read more

Incredible that the Left treats animals better than some kids

We see this “mis-attention” all the time.  For instance, we’ve all heard the Left wail about kids crossing the border were housed in cages – a practice blamed on Trump but started by Obama.  More locally, NH State Rep Katherine Rogers is all in for not allowing cats to be declawed (HB1387) and acting as … Read more

Some Science Behind “Sexual Identity” & Calls for Special Protections

There continues to be a lot of discussion and controversy about providing special “protections” for persons who consider themselves, or whose parents may believe them, to be “transgender.” School boards across the state have been encouraged by, among all things, an organization of school boards supported by tax money, and which lobbies the legislature for … Read more

We demand that 2+2 = 5 – “‘Genital preferences’ are transphobic.”

The first time I read this post, I was very confused: gays, lesbians, and gender dysphoric males, gender dysphoric females. Attraction, sex, and epithets thrown all around because the different groups won’t play well with each other.  It made my head hurt and I blame the Left for, once again, bastardizing our common language.

Other Conservatives should consider this idea – and then follow suit.

To the residents of Gilford & Gilmanton, If you are not already aware, our School Board is on the brink of adopting a new transgender nondiscrimination policy based on the passage of SB 263. Now, on the surface, this sounds like a good idea, right? I don’t imagine many people would tolerate a transgendered student … Read more

If it is wrong in one place, it should be wrong in the other, right?

So, one is from the Kavanaugh trial where the Democrats tried to railroad him off the Supreme Court bench. Or yet another #MeToo event (either real like Harvey Weinstein, or yet hoax for some agenda based reason (er, drinking, buyers remorse, get-the-boyfriend/girlfriend, or just some other obscure reason that we’re supposed already know about).  Either … Read more

Gilford School Board – October meeting: Powers and Rights (Part 2)

“Mr. Murphy, please submit that question in writing to us…..I have already; twice! No answers” Well, this coverage of the Transgender issue that the Gilford School Board has jumped the gun on may take a while but I think it is important not only on students and staff affected by this but IS THE SCHOOL … Read more

Darned if We Do, Darned if We Don’t

I think it was Tip O’Neal who coined the phrase:  “All politics is local.” That’s as true today as when O’Neal uttered it. Right here in Gilford, our school board is struggling with a  problem best described as a catch 22. I’m speaking of the transgender phenomena.
