Democrat politicians endlessly warn us about the “threat to our democracy” posed by Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans. Of course, that claim is patently absurd on two fronts. First of all, as most Americans know, we live under a constitutional republic, not a democracy.

Union Leader Doesn’t See The Big Picture – It’s Not About Vaccines, It’s About the Constitutional Separation Powers
Once again, we can see that the shiny and bright conservative armor that the Union Leader wore in decades past has turned rusty and tarnished. Never would I have expected to read a UL written Op-Ed actively advocating against the separation of responsibilities and Powers between the Legislative Branch and the Executive Branch, A quick … Read more
America’s Republic Is the Only Acceptable Form of Government
It would be laughable if it wasn’t just so pathetic how the Left keeps trying to paint conservatives, Republicans or anyone else, who will not drop on their knees and worship their absurd evil god of Socialism. History, the real kind, not the revised make-believe versions the progressives push, tells us that Socialism does not … Read more
Can Authoritarianism Take Root in a Constitutional Republic?
Like most older Americans, I’ve always been proud of my country. Those of us who have seen the corruption, the chaos and the ultimate collapse of so many other countries around the world have always felt secure, fortunate – even blessed – to live in a land where opportunity abounds and freedom is enshrined in our Constitution.
About Freedom…
Freedom is often talked about, praised, and glorified. We fight wars for freedom, sing songs about freedom, even our New Hampshire state motto pays homage to freedom, “Live free or die.” However, as I go about my duties as a Legislator and State Representative, I have serious concerns.

Are Socialists for Democracy or Tyranny?
Conservatives are destroying democracy. You have probably heard this Leftist talking point many times. The response to this claim is: “We’re not a democracy, we’re a constitutional republic.” This leads to an important question: Are there any differences between the two, and if so, why do they matter?
The Founders Held Great Mistrust for Democracy
The Founders held great mistrust for democracy. They did desire democratic principles. They did not want a democracy for our form of government. America’s founders were widely read. They knew the work of Plato who wrote in The Republic, “And so tyranny naturally arises out of democracy.” Our history from James Madison As Plato decrees, … Read more
Holding Politicians Accountable
In the land called America, citizens exercise their power through the ballot box. Hence, when you vote in America, you vote for our freedom. When you decide to vote for a candidate, it is your civic duty to make sure that person has been thoroughly vetted and has answered your questions openly and publicly. America … Read more
Don’t Tell Me America Is A Democracy
Don’t tell me America is a democracy, those are fighting words. Many people, media included, endlessly say America is a democracy. That is wrong. If we have become a democracy, it is a betrayal of our founders. The founders correctly saw democracy as a form of tyranny. The word democracy does not appear in our … Read more
Your Rights, If You Can Keep Them
Christopher Maidment recently began his post, A Republic, If You Can Keep It, by saying:
A Government Of The People, By The People, and For The People. That’s the whole foundation of this country.
I disagree. The foundation of the country begins with the Declaration of Independence. That document asks and answers two fundamental questions:
A Republic, If You Can Keep It
Oxford Dictionary defines a Republic as “a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and which has an elected or nominated president rather than a monarch.” By The People. A Government Of The People, By The People, and For The People. That’s the whole foundation of this country. … Read more
Rep. Dan Crenshaw – Democrats v. Republicans (Democracy v. Republic)
Some of the usual suspects are once again publicly bashing the Electoral College. DNC communications specialist, Chris Hayes, working at MSNBC, sums up their collective wisdom. The only reason it’s constitutional is that it is in the constitution.
The night Westeros became a Republic (and allowed secession)
If you watched the Game of Thrones finale last night, did you make the same critical observations I did? If you never succumbed to the Game of Thrones mania, please stick with me – I guarantee my point applies to everyone, regardless. In one of the final scenes, the condemned Tyrion Lannister was brought out … Read more
How About a Sanctuary City for Gun Rights?
The next great Supreme Court case on Gun rights may be brewing in an unusual place. The police chief in the city of Republic, Washington has stepped up to announce that recent unconstitutional laws passed by Washington State voters will not apply in his city as long as he’s the Chief.
