NH Dems Hawkins and Spencer Call for “more enforcement of the governor’s emergency orders”

A few weeks ago, the liberty movement held a rally to #ReopenNH. The “kill the economy” confinement-left lost their minds. Even though the point was that if they wanted to stay at home, we were okay with that.

It’s been a few weeks since the first rally.

We’re still waiting for the spike in infections and deaths across New Hampshire because of that “irresponsible” rally. Any guess on when that will happen? I’m thinking, never.

And if you saw the pictures or reports from #ReopenNH part one, there were a lot of people there paying little to no attention whatsoever to the State’s unconstitutional orders.

The Governor has introduced a slight opening, but that’s not enough, so there was a second rally yesterday.

When asked for a comment on that by the Union Leader, reliable Marxist tool Zandra Rice Hawkins from Granite State Progress (with Louise Spencer from the Kent Street Coalition) made the usual noises.

“In a democracy, people have rights and responsibilities, but these demonstrators are forgetting about the responsibilities while the rest of us make sacrifice to save lives.”

We don’t live in a democracy; we live in a constitutional Republic. And in this Republic, the government’s responsibility is to protect and secure our natural rights.

Yesterday Skip shared a George Will quote that gets right to the point. Our contract, the reason we formed our government, is to prevent any majority, be they a mob or an electorate or a community from denying anyone their individual natural rights. The government’s purpose (at least in America) “is to “secure” these rights.

“Freedom is the starting point of politics; government’s powers are secondary and derivative, and therefore limited….

The Governor’s orders, which Hawkins and Spencer both defend and demand be enforced, do the opposite, and as proof, I give the Democrat’s overwhelming support.

Democrats believe the government is a tool to enforce their partisan will. To micro-manage people, productivity, nearly every facet of your existence.  Not just someone else’s, yours. And as “thought leaders” in the drive toward more Democrat Socialism in New Hampshire, SPencer and Hawkins are advocating the Democrat’s political endgame. One where lockdowns, lines at the store, shortages, and human misery on a massive scale are more the rule than the exception and are enforced with the police state powers.

Where government is not just the thing to which we all belong, it is the thing that we cannot escape. That which will decide what rights we have and when, where, and how they may be exercised.  And should we disagree we will be detained as often and for however long it takes to make sure everyone else understands what their Democracy truly means.
