The really good news is that the Fifth Circuit has rejected a constitutional challenge to campus carry in Texas. The State allows concealed permit holders to carry on college campuses which got some professorial panties in a bunch. The law did not let the Profs prohibit concealed firearms in their own classrooms (some administrative areas on campus are still verboten), so they sued claiming “the law and policy violate(s) the First Amendment, Second Amendment, and Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.”
The Court tossed it out, but what’s that got to do with the left proving me right? Plenty.
It cannot be emphasized enough that liberal governance will be a reflection of its priorities. To bring that point home consider the recent plight of a homosexual Democrat television personality (HDTP) who dared to suggest that the left shouldn’t go too far left.
Van Ness noted that “luckily” more than a few “extreme right people won yesterday,” which he said means “center left candidates” can reclaim control of the House of Representatives and Senate as well as state legislatures.
The typical Democrat reaction to anything relating to guns tells you a lot about them. Human beings filter things through the lens of their personal worldview and firearms are a great example of this.
The Democrat narrative claims that people can’t be trusted with firearms because at any moment they might snap and shoot everyone around them. In New Hampshire, a common theme when Liberals are trying to restrict firearms by limiting the places they can be carried is the old ‘Blood in the Streets’ narrative.
We can’t let them (continue to carry firearms here or there) it’ll be a wild west shoot out! Blood in the Streets!
It never happens but they do it anyway. Why?

The left has settled into its latest anti-Trump narrative. He’s evil because he separates parents and children. That’s funny because an entire progressive social experiment or (experiments) championed and defended by liberals has been separating parents and children for decades. As reported June 1st, the nation reached a milestone. Black unemployment has hit a record low. Racial disparity in unemployment is also at a historical low. That’s kind of crazy if we really are all a bunch of racists. But even if we were, which we are not, you’d expect that so-called party of People of Color would be screaming it from their solar panel covered rooftops.
Not one member of New Hampshire’s All Gurl Democrat Delegation has written a single word about it since it was announced eight days ago.

Democrats don’t know what they don’t know and they only have themselves to blame.
Why are so many Democrats shocked when a Republican is elected president? Because, as they themselves say, they “don’t know anyone” who voted for the Republican. The primary reason for this is the people in their life who voted for Donald Trump — professional colleagues, and even friends and relatives — are afraid to tell them.
Sadly, this treatment works in a much broader sense to advance liberal narratives and often promote progressive policies, especially at the local level “where get out the vote” means find ways to keep your opposition at home, so they win by default.
I think that the entirety of the modern American Left’s agenda can be summarized in the words of Theodore Dalrymple, who notes,
The totalitarian impulse did not die with the Soviet Union, but rather fractured into many different monomanias. The freedom that many people desire is the freedom to limit other people’s freedom, which they find much more gratifying than the mere expression of their own opinion, which has at most the effect of throwing a pebble into a pond, causing a ripple that soon disappears and is forgotten. Surely I am more important than that, and my opinion deserves to dictate to others?
The “world” elite Democrats live in is nothing like the real world of modern America, represented by these observations from the first Obama Foundation summit in Chicago.
