Microaggressions, like hate speech, are a made-up thing. Crafted in the forge of liberal identity politics. These provide no real-world benefit to society. They do not improve relations, elevate equity or foster inclusion. They do the opposite.
Microaggressions magnify stereotypes and inject them into our consciousness. Media and culture catalyze our sensitivity to these triggers. The result is a complete inability to function for fear of mauling the sacred cows of Marxist Social Engineering.

And this works for the Left because division creates opportunities for the government to intervene. Everything about the interactions within any society becomes grist for the regulatory mill. Not the least of which is speech itself.
If it is not safe to speak how do you object? You can’t.
This is a deliberate trap set by the left. But did they mean to set it for themselves?
We are the Same Despite Any Differences
Charles Kesler, in the October issue of Imprimis, notes that,
The prevailing liberal doctrine of rights traces individual rights to membership in various groups – racial, ethnic, gender, class-based, etc. -which are undergoing a continual process of consciousness-raising and empowerment. …
Conservatives, by contrast, regard the individual as the quintessential endangered minority. They trace individual rights to human nature which lacks a race. Human nature also lacks ethnicity, gender, and class.
So, to liberals, you are entitled to something because of a list of things that make you different. Things the Government/Political-Ruling class defines. To conservatives, we are all individual human beings, so we arrive in the world with a set of natural rights. These rights belong to us until our death. They need defending.
The essence of American Conservatism is to protect these rights from intrusion by the government. To uphold the Constitutions prescriptions for limiting those intrusions. The essence of liberalism is to empower the government in all cases to define and manage “rights.”
I’m Rubber You’re Glue
The Social Justice Cult with its made up hate and aggression is the tip of the spear in the liberal pursuit of this tyranny. A practice that makes them, by design, the very things they claim to be fighting against.
When you see everyone as equals entitled to the same rights by birth you are more likely to treat them the same. They are your equals and you speak to them as equals. Liberals don’t.
“[R]esearchers… set up an experiment in which white liberals were asked to respond to hypothetical individuals named “Emily” and “Lakisha.”
“Liberal individuals were less likely to use words that would make them appear highly competent when the person they were addressing was presumed to be black rather than white,” said the release. “No significant differences were seen in the word selection of conservatives based on the presumed race of their partner.”
The Left, obsessed with identity, default to behavior they would view as microaggressions.
“According to Sue (2007, 2010), liberal whites (and sometimes nonwhites) use microaggressions as a way to show their concern and commitment for racial, cultural, and sexual egalitarianism, and are genuinely surprised when told that these kinds of comments may create a wider divide,” states the course description.
The Left divides in the name of inclusion. It creates inequality in the name of equity. And then proceeds to exercise the stereotypical hate speech and microaggressions against “minorities” which they project on Conservatives.
Conservatives go about the business of seeing everyone as having the same rights, even small-minded liberals obsessed with Social Justice and Marxist social engineering. Our reward for that is to be called intolerant racists and bigots.
Proof that liberals are not entirely against “free” speech. They are happy to use it when it suits them.
