The media is doing what it can to hide the recession and food inflation. They talk about monthly numbers without noting how this cumulative price rise is crushing America, the left claims to champion. But will it have the opposite effect?

Bouncing Back
Is it just me or are we starting to see the price of gas increasing again? Hope not but a couple of stations look like it. One thing is we can be happy we are not out in California where it’s at $6.00 or more but there is no reason it should be above $2.00 … Read more

Survival Sunday
I’m back. I can’t say everything’s perfect, but thus far there’s respite on the home front. I don’t think I’ll be in divorce court… at least not soon. And given what I fear is coming, and how soon, by the time the home front explodes again, everything else will too – thus, a moot point.
Dems Point to Falling Gas Prices as Food Inflation Highest Since 1979
The Democrat’s Dollar Value Reduction Act is making a difference. In August, food inflation reached a forty-three-year high. And electricity is up nearly 16% (110% if you live here). So, that reduction act is reducing something; your income, savings, and lifestyle.
Inflation Reduction Act Will Hurt America’s Middle Class
Democrats, including Sens. Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen, and Reps. Annie Kuster and Chris Pappas, apparently think that middle-income and poorer Americans are not suffering enough. Their votes for the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act will increase our suffering now; any benefits will be later. The IRA increases the spending that caused today’s painful 8.5% inflation. … Read more
Americans Need Second Job While the Bidens Vacation
What better way to celebrate inflation at 0% than to take the family on a summer vacation to a $20 Million home of a donor in South Carolina? Of course, inflation is not at 0%, but that was the latest gaslighting ploy by Joe Biden this week. The July numbers are in, and inflation did … Read more
Peel the Onion of Inflation Reduction
Bernie Sanders was honest, rare for a Senator, when he said this bill was not accurately named. The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) will do nothing to change the trajectory of our rising inflation. The most optimistic say this bill will reduce inflation by .25%, but over two years. So much for this inflation being transitory.

Almost No One Wants Biden to Run Again
The White House staff needs a day off today to catch their breath. Many spent Sunday hitting all the news shows, trying to convince America that inflation is not their fault. The opinions were that inflation had peaked and we would avoid a recession. They are wrong on both counts.
Data Point – Here’s What Govt Has Done to the Purchasing Power of Your Dollar in Just 22 Years
It’s called Inflation. The Federal Bank is supposed to “control” and has had a target “range” of about 2% per year. So, has your INCOME gone up 60% over this same about of time? Doubtful. Mine certainly has not. It’s the way that Govt impoverishes us all. (H/T: Bayou Renaissance Man)

Inflation Even Hurts the Penguins
A recent video shows penguins at a Japanese aquarium rejecting the cheap fish the aquarium has substituted for the higher quality fish the penguins are used to receiving. The reason the aquarium switched fish is because rampant inflation has made it impossible for the aquarium to afford the higher quality fish.

Nitzakhon Note: This got very long and IMHO it’s becoming daunting to read in one go. After this one I’m going to, as length demands, start doing two such posts a week when it is called for. The Sunday one will be this full one, and then if necessary I’ll do a hump day one which will be just new articles but will have a linkback to the Sunday one. So, for example, below you will find permanent links to books, etc., while the mid-week one will omit those. Unless people comment they want to keep them in both.
Bonus Meme Overflow-overflow
OK.
I had MONDAY MEMES and a Meme Overflow. But lately I’ve gotten so many that I’m having to offload some on Friday.
It is Not Putin, It is Bad Policy
Here is the problem with our economy and the out-of-control inflation numbers that came out today. Since the President and his band of inept bureaucrats have no idea how they created this horrible economic environment, they cannot have a clue how to get us out of the mess. They are not capable of recovery. The … Read more
Meme Overflow
As promised in the last Monday Memes, I have an overflow. My meme cup runneth over. So much over I may do a “late week” memefest “overflow overflow”. 🙂
But we’ll see.
