This is not the first time Rep. Jim White has proposed this legislation, but it is back after the Lewiston, Maine, shooting. The bill would make property owners of gun-free zones liable if disarmed individuals were harmed as a result of that restriction.
It’s long past time that we stopped enticing deranged people to shoot children in schools. School “gun-free zones” make sick, evil people confident they can get the revenge and/or fame they crave.

The worst thing you could do if you support school safety is to defend the Democrat’s anti-gun laws. Parkland proved that. The gatekeepers screwed up every opportunity to protect kids. It was so bad that the Parkland Commission recommended arming staff and teachers.
Elizabeth Warren has a plan. She’s the planning candidate. Lots of ideas. Cue hand scrubbing and sinister laughter. So, yes, disarming law-abiding citizens – she has a policy idea for that too.
Bad people always look for folks who can’t defend themselves. That way, they can guarantee the desired force advantage. Gun Free Zones make this not just possible but inviting. And the recent VA Beach Shooting shows us why we need to end them.
