Just a Quick Note To The Democrat Enablers…

There are more than a few people making excuses for the recent scandals involving the Benghazi cover up, the AP phone scandal and the IRS.  Without laboring the point these are just the latest of those we know about.   The point I want to make is this:  Are the people excusing or dismissing this behavior because … Read more

Boo Hoo Hamster Can Finally Write Something about the DOJ – AP Story

Last night Skip observed that the progressive mouthpiece for the Democrat blogosphere in New Hampshire (Bleu Hampshire) had been awfully quiet given all the newsy tid-bits peppering the interwebs.  Nothing to report on Benghazi, The IRS, HHS, DOJ seizing AP phone records, dead Americans, failed Middle East policy…nothing.

But there is good news. Blue Hamster has leave to react to at least one of the recent scandals…

The Soros funded, highly political (non-profit) Media Matters, has release instructions on how the Democrats should respond with regard to the Obama-DOJ seizing two months worth of phone records from the AP.  (I have included them on the jump so that you wont have to be bothered with visiting their site to find out what they have been told to think.)

A New Hampshire Democrat Accounting Trick – Explained

In years past the New Hampshire Democrats have taken to all kinds of foolish ideas to hide the truth about their blinkered incompetence when it comes to managing other peoples money.  Here is but one example to give you some perspective. Let’s say my wife and I ran our budget like New Hampshire Democrats and … Read more

Whatever Happened to HB 330?

A reader wrote me and said 1) the only info he could find on HB 330 was my post from February and 2) whatever happened with the bill?

HB 330 was (at that time) the latest effort from New Hampshire Democrats at a backdoor broad-based income tax.  Democrat Reps Burridge and Robertson, of Cheshire County, proposed HB 330 to allow each county delegation to vote for its own optional 1% income tax (to add further funding for public education, of all things).  Each county could decide separately so it would not technically be a broad based income tax, except that implementing it in even one county would require the same expanded bureaucracy to implement it in two, five, or all ten, paid for by the entire state….cramming costs down on every town and county to pump more money into public unions, basically.

So what happened to HB330?

Once again – base vs Establishment. Pindell thinks Establish Reps should tell the base to buzz off – will they?

Sosnik notes that many Republicans are more concerned about losing in a primary than a general election, which makes compromise harder.

That’s a quote from Politico on a piece that a Democrat strategy claiming that the Democrat Party is in decline (especially after Obama).  The thrust of it, given the entire piece, is that Republicans are not worried about the Democrats – but are worried about what their base is thinking about them.  Now contrast that with this:

WMUR

Will the Republican establishment stop fighting with their base and just start ignoring them?

from James Pindell at WMUR’s Political Scoop.  Now, part of Pindell’s job (or seemingly, most journalists these days) are to either act as Democrat mouthpieces (like in “how much of the Gosnell killing-aborted-but-born-alive-babies murder trial?  Or in MSNBC’s “journalists” in toeing the WH line concerning Clinton’s “What does it matter now?” with Benghazi?).  So Politico is outright saying that politicians are paying more attention to their base for re-election, and WMUR is say “Hey Establishment Republicans – blow off your base“?  Such a dichotomy of awareness of the politics are playing: complete opposites.

The Dems here in NH kept the corner office, captured the Exec. Council, “waved” the House and came within two of a majority in the Senate.  Sosnik may be right in that without Obama and his machine, Doom might be the operative word on the Left.  But how much does WMUR’s Pindell believe the Establishment Rs can afford to lose of their disaffected base and still beat the Dems in the next election?

From the Desk of Representative William O’Brien

How Much More Does The State Deserve Your Money Than You?

Keep in mind that New Hampshire Democrats want to spend your money to achieve  immediate government growth of about 9-10% Boston.com Dennis Delay of the New Hampshire Center for Public Policy Studies told the Senate Ways and Means Committee Tuesday that New Hampshire’s recovery from the Great Recession is lackluster. … Delay predicted the state’s … Read more

Are NH Democrats just Making Stuff Up about Background Checks?

There are more lies about background checks coming from the New Hampshire Democrat Party than truths and no polling can possibly explain the disparity unless the polls are flawed, skewed, or just made up.

Ninety percent of New Hampshire citizens cannot possibly be in favor of  Manchin Toomey background checks when less than 90% of all Democrats are willing to push the meme themselves.  And given that 100% of Democrats don’t agree with the narrative this makes the math required to justify the number impossible.

There is No Ball

Do New Hampshire Democrats have their priorities straight?  Think about it.  The economy is creeping along.  No one is projecting even moderate growth.  Employment is likely to remain flat which means unemployment is as well.   All in all, the best we can hope for, according to all the ‘experts’ is to drift along for a while.  So what are New Hampshire Democrats doing?

In one of the safest states in the nation, with some of the most–dare I say liberal–gun laws in the country, they are investing their energy on harassing a Republican Senator (Kelly Ayotte) who doesn’t even have to run for office until 2016, over a vote that wouldn’t even do much if any good to solve the problem they claim it is meant to resolve; while at the exact same time,  asking New Hampshire taxpayers to let them grow the size and cost of government as much as 10%.

Economy sucks, maybe 2% growth if we’re lucky over the next few years–New Hampshire Democrats want to give the government a permanent 9-10% raise.

Talk about not keeping your eye on the ball.

Wait.  This is supposed to be like the Matrix, right.  There is no ball.  Look- Ayotte!

So Every New Hampshire Democrat Will Be Running on Background Checks in 2014?

The New Hampshire Democrat party is all-in on their background-check thing.  They’ve got out of state money, out of state influence, out of state victims as props… So I guess this is pretty important to New Hampshire Democrats then?  And to hear them talk, it is mighty important to New Hampshire citizens as well.  Or is that just talk?

Can we expect every Democrat in the state at every level run for reelection on this issue?  Will every New Hampshire Democrat running for office  in 2014 put background checks at the top of every palm cards, flyer, mailer, and campaign web-site?

If New Hampshire citizens are behind this idea to the degree that New Hampshire Democrats claim, (just ask them, ‘everyone is talking about it’), then you’ll be running strongly on this issue, in all 400 house races, and all 24 state Senate races, the Governors race, plus the US Senate and Congressional races?

Democrats and Communists…

Chicago May Day march 2013, credit: marathon pundit
Chicago May Day march 2013, credit: marathon pundit

… usually begets the hyperbole induced eye-roll from many, but stick with me.

Breitbart headline: “Dick Durbin at May Day Immigration Rally: Communists? What Communists?”

Together again, deluded communist rubes and a Democrat, what a surprise.

Senator Dick Durbin attended a May Day march in Chicago the other day. It turns out that it was decorated with what you’d expect: Che Guevara’s shaded visage, hammer and sickle flags, painted anarchist A’s on placards etc. The usual bouquet of symbols representing the wilted leftist ideas that resulted in blood soaked suffering over the past few centuries. Gripping the bouquets were rubes too long on idle, too short on history, or (maybe and) just too dumb to care.

Maybe UNH Could Spend Some Tax Dollars to Solve this ‘Problem’

Some days posts just fall into each other like drunken wedding guests doing the chicken dance.  Today, those ‘guests’ are prostitutes, possibly having attended a conference on the sex industry at UNH, though they also may have been driven into the sex trade by Global Warming.  Wait for it…

A gaggle of Congressional Democrats, led by Representative Barbra Lee, has submitted HCR 36, a House Continuing Resolution that asks the House to recognize that Global Warming has a disproportionate (negative) impact on women who could be forced to turn to “transactional sex” to survive.

So much for bringing home the bacon and frying it up in the pan.  Global Warming just wrecked that.

That’s right.  Non-existent global warming could be responsible for an increase in prostitution.  (I bet even UNH didn’t see that coming.)

I Think She’d Say Something like this, Harrell!

Yesterday morning hapless Harrell ‘Jersey Shore’ Kirstein (The New Hampshire Democrat Propaganda Minister) tweeted this.

harrell kirstein tweet poll

PPP is left leaning and always suspect, with a tendency to over-sample for favorable Democrat outcomes, but maybe HK was just looking for a silver lining seeing as the UNH Poll, albeit with a smaller sample, came out with some contradictory results he chose NOT to share.

New Hampshire’s junior senator, Republican Kelly Ayotte, has also seen her favorability rating largely unchanged since February. Currently, 50% of New Hampshire adults have a favorable opinion of Ayotte, 25% have an unfavorable opinion of her, 9% are neutral and 16% don’t know enough about her to say. Ayotte’s net favorability rating is +25%, up from +23% in February. Her net favorability remains high among Republicans at +74% and low among Democrats where it is at -21%. Her net favorability rating among Independents has also stayed steady at +38%.

Emphasis mine… because in the UNH poll she owns Republicans, and most importantly …with independents she is +38.  No point in sharing that, eh Harrell.  But while we’re ‘sharing, that UNH poll had some other important news that might be of even greater concern to Democrats like Kirstein, given that Ayotte is not facing re-election next year and New Hampshire’s two Democrat congress-critters are.

About That 90%

jayne and veraFor those inclined to continue the relentless regurgitation of democrat demagoguery about how many Americans want more federal gun control, well–there’s this, from that bastion of right wing extremism, USA Today.

Americans are more narrowly divided on the issue than in recent months, and backing for a bill has slipped below 50%, the poll finds. By 49%-45%, those surveyed favor Congress passing a new gun-control law. In an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll in early April, 55% had backed a stricter gun law, which was down from 61% in February. …

Not to worry.  The anti-executive order President of the people will be doing anything and everything he can with executive orders to give the people what they do not seem to want.
