‘”…progressive” are [sic] those who focus on using government power to make large institutions play by a set of rules…”
Cultural unease has grown more and more virulent since the 1990’s if not before. Issues are they are clear to all. The DNC is waxing full of people who are hateful, racist, accusatory and emotionally out of control. They assault any GOP, or perceived GOP, for any reason, stalking them and disrupting them at restaurants eating with their families. They spit, they vandalize, they throw things at rallies, they target even spouses and children. And yet they cannot articulate any solutions to what they are fighting about or engage in civil debate.
Ten out of the 11 Democratic candidates for Governor of NH said they were progressives. I’m told the fish rots from the head down so I am taking a wild guess that more NH Democrats will turn this way. When they are left unchecked it will signal the death of our republic, our culture and our way of life. Goodbye Freedom.
I ran across this 2005 article which well explains the basic political difference between a progressive Democrat and a liberal Democrat:
“[T]here is a fundamental difference when it comes to core economic issues. [T]raditional “liberals” in our current parlance are those who focus on using taxpayer money to help better society. A “progressive” are [sic] those who focus on using government power to make large institutions play by a set of rules.”
There is also a myriad of socio-cultural issues that can and do hit us where we live:
“A new study by Pew Research Center, based on surveys of more than 5,000 adults conducted over the summer, finds widening differences between Republicans and Democrats on a range of measures the Center has been asking about since 1994, as well as those with more recent trends. But in recent years, the gaps on several sets of political values in particular – including measures of attitudes about the social safety net, race and immigration – have increased dramatically.”
We MUST hold tight to the freedom and liberty we have left. Cherish them.
I am running for GOP representative in Merrimack District 7 (Warner and Webster). Vote for me. Vote for GOP’s over Dems wherever you find them. Better a RINO than a Dem, socialist or not.
