Going along with my previous observations about WMUR – a tilt; Part 2: So “Diversity” really means “Democrat”?

Democrats yammer all day about about diversity this, diversity, there, diversity there…but I’m wondering how “diverse” their voting records will be for all that talk about “diversity”?  Do that really mean diversity in thought?  Diversity in legislation?

No, “Diversity” on the Democrat side is only skin-deep on the outside and mono-thought culture on the inside:

I bring that, partly as a younger person. I’m also a Latino and we could also use some more diversity in the Legislature from that perspective as well.

My question is this: Why?  If you are a Democrat, and you speak like a Democrat, and you vote like a Democrat, what does being a Latino have to do with anything?  What does having others around you look like you have to do with anything if you all act the same in the Democrat mode? On Wednesday, December 12, the Belknap County Republican Committee will be meeting at the Laconia VFW Post, 143 Court Street, Laconia.  The principal purpose of the meeting will be to elect 19 Republican State Committee Members from Belknap County. Although any Republican can make nominations, only “Delegates” can vote at that time.

I appreciate your response that you have provided and appreciate the open dialogue about data collection and social, emotional, and behavioral programming (SEL) in the state of New Hampshire. After reading the regulations for FERPA, it appears that personally identifiable information (PII) collected at the local school district level in the state of New Hampshire (i4See Data Collection system) can be shared without parents knowing about it. Knowing that social, emotional and behavioral programming is being initiated in the state, I believe the sheer magnitude of sharing sensitive, personal, and private data brings the legal issues of privacy, safety, and security to the front of my concerns. I’m sure you would agree.

Although it appears that schools and the New Hampshire Department of Education tell parents and communities that the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), 20 U.S.C. §1232g, is a Federal Privacy law designed to protect the privacy of students’ educational records. Regrettably, regulations were changed without Congressional authority where data mining of our children is permitted for research and development without the knowledge and consent of the parents. I believe it is important that parents are informed about this loophole in the regulations. Protecting children and families should be of utmost importance particularly if children are being used as research subjects. When you stated in your letter, “We have been, and will continue to be methodical in our research and in the application of research into practice….” your comment sheds light on exactly what is happening in our classrooms…methodical research into practice. Professional ethical protocols require informed consent when researching, assessing and treating subjects.

Illegals storming US Border

So, WMUR ran this now debunked “Mom and two kids in diapers at the border” picture

Ask yourself – what loving mother is gonna put her babies into such a dangerous situation, after being “penniless” and walking 2880 miles to end up in a “spontaneous” picture where 500 hard core, mostly male, illegal aliens trying to break into the US AFTER being warned that the border will be defended? And now are being deported by Mexico back to their home countries?  Shades of the  Israel / Gaza Strip border as the Palestinians Antifa movement has a history of staged pictures, videos, and Narrative.

And WMUR has led with the story, with this now discredited pic, during their 5pm, 6pm, and 11pm newscasts last nite.  Yeah, layers upon layers of fact checkers and editor at this Hearst outlet. News or Narrative?  “As it happens” or propaganda?  Proving the ideological bent of most newsrooms around the country don’t swing Right but have no problems with Open Borders.

Sidenote: as much as the UL has been creeping leftward, is anyone beside me thinking WMUR is sprinting in that direction the last couple of years??

John Locke

Of Treatises of Government

At the outset, I defined this effort as a discussion of John Locke’s Second Treatise of Government. Of course, as the name suggests, there is also a First Treatise of Government which I had not as yet read. Therefore, I set to reading Locke’s First Treatise to find out what its relationship is to the Second. Was it a first draft supplanted by the Second or was the Second a continuation of the First.

Locke’s First Treatise of Government is in fact a rebuttal to a work by Sir Robert Fuller who sought to justify divine right kings. He found Fuller’s work to be generally absurd, and proceeded to spend great effort to expose those absurdities. Locke accuses Fuller of making vague and repetitive arguments, which in turn causes Locke’s rebuttal to be repetitive as well. Having satisfied with himself that he had debunked Fuller’s work, Locke set about defining what in fact does constitute legitimate government. Lock had in fact at least begun his Second Treatise when he was writing the last chapters of his First Treatise since he makes direct reference to the Sixth Chapter of his Second Treatise regarding paternal power.
