Neil deGrasse Tyson Accused of Sexual Misconduct – Again!?

I was initially excited when I heard there was a reboot of Dr. Carl Sagan’s COSMOS. I enjoyed the original and could not tell you how many times I said “billions and billions.” Yes, with a bit of a Sagen accent. No, I didn’t say it “billions and billions” of times. But I’m working on it.

I never made it past the first few minutes of the reboot. Neil deGrasse Tyson got into the AGW BS PDQ. Ruined it for me.

Will this ruin things for Neil deGrasse Tyson?

Two More Women Accuse Neil deGrasse Tyson of Sexual Misconduct

He always struck me as something of an ass, so this headline’s only shocking aspect is the word “more.” As in I didn’t know about the previous accusation. I’m not surprised I was just unaware.

Two more women, including a fellow astronomer, say Neil deGrasse Tyson is guilty of inappropriate sexual conduct. …

Dr. Allers said her experience was public and didn’t rise to the level of assault, but that it did show Tyson was capable of some “creepy behavior.”

Neil followed Dr. Allers tattoo of the solar system on her arm under her dress.

“My experience with him is he’s not someone who has great respect for female bodily autonomy,” she told me in a phone interview.

You said there were two accusations.

As if this allegation wasn’t shocking enough, it came within days of my interview with Ashley Watson, a former assistant to Tyson who says she was forced to quit her job due to his inappropriate sexual advances.

There is an earlier accusation that appears to be anonymous and unconfirmed, but two legitimate accusations since suggest we’ll be more #MeToo heading into the orbit of Neil deGrasse Tyson. Certainly not billions and billions. Not even millions, and nowhere near trillions. But all it takes is one to get that ball rolling, and it’s already on the move.
