Right now, the Granite State is under siege from a barrage of gun control measures presently under consideration in the legislature. Gun control measures that are more reflective of states like Massachusetts, California, Maryland, Illinois and New York City. There is a bill for Universal Background checks (ah, but they do not call it that because they are liars). There is a seven-day waiting period bill and worst of all, a red flag law bill.

Someone smart — maybe it was Epictetus, or Mark Twain — said that what matters isn’t what happens to you, but what you learn from what happens to you.
So, what’s happening to us now?
Well, we have a truckload of anti-gun bills moving towards passage by the legislature, and we’re depending on a pseudo-Republican governor to veto them, and hoping that his vetoes won’t be over-ridden.
And what should we be learning from this?
Well, in some stories about vampires, a vampire can’t come into your house unless you invite him. It turns out that the same is true about anti-gun bills. And we need to learn to stop inviting them.
Gilles Bissonette of the New Hampshire ACLU made it clear to the City of Manchester that a proposed ordinance change might be unconstitutional. Paul Feely reports that by a 12-0 vote the board of Alderman approved a move that would “allow downtown business owners to control the use of sidewalks outside their storefronts year-round.”
New Mexico’s governor has signed legislation making it illegal to engage in private gun sales in the state. It is meant to close one of those loop-holes Democrats like to talk about. One that, according to the new law, does not exist for everyone.
DACA kiddies in Georgia took that state to court after being denied access to state colleges for being illegal aliens. Individuals “who are not ‘lawfully present’ (are barred from) from enrolling in selective state colleges and universities, even if they otherwise qualify for admission.”
Spencer McKinnon copped a plea deal for voting in Durham New Hampshire after submitting an absentee ballot to his how hometown in Massachusetts. McKinnon’s lawyer now says an ‘adult’ at UNH told him it was okay for him to vote here.
Despite a complete disconnect between funding and results, Democrats want more money for New Hampshire schools. Bigger budgets have produced no return on investment. None. But as I’ve noted previously, Democrats don’t care about learning. Public Schools are a vehicle for redistributing wealth to a favored constituency.

Online travel cites won a victory at the New Hampshire State Supreme Court this week. New Hampshire had sued them in search of taxes claiming the cites were functioning as ‘operators’ and subject to the State’s Rooms and Meals Tax. The court said no.
I’m not sure if it was a record crowd but I’ve been to the last three (of five) rallies, and this was the largest and then some. If you follow us on Facebook you’ve already seen the pictures. Status updates throughout the event included images of the speakers and the crowd. And yes, we have video of the entire event.
Every two years we get to change the NH members of Congress. The next time is 2020 and it can’t come fast enough. The two Pelosi hand puppets, Annie Kuster and the other, Pappas, have co-sponsored Democrat legislation to admit Washington DC as a state. I don’t remember them running on that unconstitutional idea.
