To Democrats, everything should be subject to taxation including free speech. California has plans to tax text messaging according to the Bay Area’s Mercury News. The specifics of tax collection are unclear. The likelihood being the tax will be applied as a flat tax with regulators saying it “could be applied retroactively for five years.” This could also mean higher cellular service charges.

A story of pot when the taxes paid for pleasure end up enlarging Government. Which, here in NH, has been the reason why the Democrats have pushed for a casino (or two). Not for the sake of letting a corporation separate one’s money from one’s wallet – it has always been about Government demanding money from that corporation for…..well, Government doing nothing with respect to “value added”.

Same thing with pot but with MUCH higher margins – for Government for doing…..well, nothing again for “value added”. So now you know why the NH Democrat Party has instituted a plank calling for decriminalization of it (and as mentioned before, a two-fer: those buying pot legally under NH law will no longer be able to buy guns as pot is still Federally illegal). Smoke pot, no Second Amendment for you!

Here. It’s what Democrats do. Let me remind you of what they did before: they created an $800 million hole in the NH State budget. They spent everything they could – and then more. You see, Democrats are:

They believe in Government directed EVERYTHING – every aspect of our lives. That takes a lot of your money to allow them to do that
While they are always screaming about separation of Church and State, they absolutely conflate the ideas of Government and Charity.

Why the second? they too lazy to get off their Collective butts to do the hard work of creating charities and then canvassing the public at large to fund them. Government means Ruling and Crowding out private charity. When they talk about Public / Private partnerships, you can always know who is in charge and who is about to be embraced and then absorbed (if not de jure, then de facto). Government IS Charity and Charity means Government because ONLY from Government can good things flow, according to their actions.
