If we’ve said it once we’ve said it a thousand times. When it comes to Democrats and your money there is “no enough.” No matter what you make they can find a way to take it and spend it. Just look at California. It’s a regulatory nightmare. Complete with the unsustainable spending that goes with long term Democrat rule. And now incoming Governor Nuisance wants to tax drinking water.

The budget, titled “California for All,” declares drinking water a “fundamental right,” and adds: “The Budget includes short-term measures to bring immediate relief to communities without safe drinking water and also proposes an ongoing sustainable funding source to address this problem into the future.”
That source is a new fund, the “Safe and Affordable Drinking Water Fund”
The nature of the tax needed to fill that fund remains a mystery. But governments love their taxes. Transaction taxes. Transfer taxes. Taxes that climb on rocks. Tobacco taxes. Gas taxes. Even taxes on utilities and communications. It would be unfair not to pile on to the cost of drinking water.
As with most such revenue streams they are regressive. Harming the people just above the bottom of the socio-economic ladder. At the bottom, we have the apocalyptic hordes. Homeless, refugees, illegal aliens, and dependency Democrat voters who have other concerns. Like who’s going to pick their shat up off the street they sleep on.
And who is paying the tax on the water to wash it off after?
