So Kids, What Did We Learn From Friday’s NH House Session (04/09/21)?
We learned that it took us a full day from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm to get through 33 House bills. All were recommended by their committee as Ought To Pass (OTP) by their respective committees, except for the last 3 bills that were recommended as Inexpedient To Legislate (ITL) by their respective committees.
New Hampshire Has One of the Lowest Overall Tax Burdens in the Nation (Again!)
The New Hampshire House just cut some taxes. Whether the Senate and governor will concur remains to be seen, but while we wait, chew on this. Despite having a high property tax burden, the Granite State has one of the lowest overall tax burdens in the nation (again).

So Kids… What Did We Learn From Wednesday’s House Session (4/7/21)?
We learned that Wednesday was House Budget Day. The NH House spent the better part of Wednesday passing a budget that kept Republican campaign promises. We passed HB1 and HB2, the budget bill and trailer bill, which effectively utilized tax dollars, and cut back government spending while cutting taxes.
