The “good intentions” of those in government cannot begin to understand what their actions will actually produce. They have insufficient information, insufficient knowledge of private-sector workings, and overly optimistic knowledge of what their “good intentions” will bring.

When I opened up GraniteGrok, it was clear that one of our focuses was going to be political which meant interacting with politicians. Here in NH, it’s a bit different in that no one here does it for pay. Many are making sacrifices in order to serve but many are either business owners, made their money, or retired (or any combo of those + others).
Why is it that when someone has a “bright idea,” they never want to spend their own money? They want the rest of us (taxpayers) to do it for them?
