Right Left Divide on The “Knowledge of Wrongdoing.”

Chris Donovan has seven staffers arrested by the FBIDemocrats and the media are all uppity about a Romney staffer yelling at the press.  I guess this is the next ‘Waterloo’ for the Romney campaign.  The fifth or sixth or fiftieth beginning-of-the-end for the GOP (presumptive) nominee.  Clearly a guy with a staffer who would insult the media is unfit for public office?

Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Connecticut State House, Democrat Chris Donovan (who happens to be the Democrat candidate for CT-congressional district 5), had seven members of his campaign staff arrested by the FBI for taking $27,000.00 dollars in campaign contributions to influence votes in the Connecticut state House.

Nullification….Liberal Style

Back in 2007, when the New Hampshire legislature was dominated by Democrats, Liberals, Progressives, and all other sorts of flotsam and jetsam, something interesting happened: They nullified a federal law…..Gasp! Yes, sir, they certainly did.  New Hampshire’s HB 685 nullified the REAL ID Act, passed in 2005 and signed into law by George W Bush, … Read more

Irony – do you see it?

Aw, cry me a river of tears!  I got this from a friend (wink, wink) from the National Director for Socialist Youths division of the Democrat Socialists of America.  Does anyone else see the irony in the plea ( reformatted, emphasis mine) Invest Your Socialist Cash in the Future: Youth Scholarship Fund Running Low If … Read more

UN Small Arms Treaty Collapses – World Blames Obama

Gun Rights win - UN arms treaty collapsesHere’s something you’ll almost never hear.  I’m actually defending Obama here.   Despite what the peacnick globalist gun grabbers think, the collapse of the UN Arms treaty that he would have been more than happy to sign in a New York Minute, despite it violating the Second Amendment of the US Constitution, and our inalienable human right to self defense….it was not (entirely) his fault.

Fifty-One members of the US Senate had already sent the President a letter stating that…as along as small and light arms were in the treaty, they would never vote to ratify it.  It’s that whole separation of powers thing.  Obama can sign whatever he likes but at the end of the day congress has to agree to fund it and in the case of treaties, the Senate needs 67 votes to authorize it.   Forty-nine aint no sixty-seven, even in Chicago.

Of course, as Hot Air point out, Obama chose to engage in the process of advancing this treaty starting back in 2009 so he only has himself to blame.  Which gets me thinking.

New Hampshire Democrats Will Love This Idea

Democrats love rich people, when they are Democrats.  They take their money and give them taxpayer subsidized loans to prop up their failed business ventures.  They love working people, when they are in unions…baling out UAW workers at Car companies when you know that were it non-union Toyota or Honda–plants in America with American workers, they’d have been on their own.  And they love free speech as long as it speaks to their political advantage.   If you use your money or your speech to say things that run contrary to their agenda you are evil, selfish, a bigot, want people to die, a racist, buying up (local) elections, pushing grandma off a cliff, a monkey in the window, an Uncle Tom, a slut, whore, bitch, bag of meat, or worse.

(Have you noticed that Republican’s don’t do this? I’ve noticed.)

This Democrat hatred of the wrong kind of wealth or opinion was always present but burst from the seams when the Supreme Court overturned the unconstitutional McCain Feingold speech limitations, removing the gag placed there by Democrats and moderates who were gaming the system to their advantage.   This uncorking was followed almost immediately in New Hampshire by an amendment to HB1459 that would not only keep unfriendly money out of politics but empower third parties to do the intimidating for the Democrats so they wouldn’t even have to get their hands dirty .  With tax-paying business owners effectively silenced only the big money establishment players, the unions, and the left wing media (all exempt businesses engaging in paid political speech), would have the resources to deliver and maintain any consistent political messaging–and all of it predominantly center left, grow government first, speech.

Well there has been a new development in Chicago to silence speech that New Hampshire Democrats will love.

Bill Clinton Endorses Maggie Hazz…um….Hasss….uh..Who Are You Again?

Bill Clinton in Nashua, No Reports of Sexual HarassmentThere have been no reports of sexual harassment (that’s Her-Ass-Meant) during President Bill Clinton’s recent drive-by endorsement of New Hampshire Democrat Margret ‘Louisville Slugger’ Hassan.  But Clinton did have enough time to say some stuff.

“There’s a great plan for the future of the state of New Hampshire: Smoke more, learn less,” Clinton said.

You’d think reducing tobacco taxes would be a plus for a guy with Bill Clinton’s ‘appreciation” for  cigars.  But hey, honestly you are right Mr. Bill.  Taxpayers should pay for someone elses kids to get drunk and earn a degree in the History of Gender Philosophy Studies .  Making them pay for their own education is so self -responsible and free market.  No one would want people like that.  And when they ‘graduate’ with a major in “The Catharsis of Economic Freedom And Opportunity Under Democrat Rule” they can stand in line for a job at Staples or Burger King and use their degree to keep the rain off their $500.00 iPhone.

4RG CHAIRMAN HEMINGWAY SAYS HASSAN SHOULD WITHDRAW FROM GOV RACE AFTER INCITING VIOLENCE
Republican Governor Candidates Smith/Lamontagne Share Ideas For Boosting New Hampshire’s Economy
While Democrat Maggie Hassan Is Talking About Beating Republicans ‘With a Bat’

CONCORD, N.H.—4RG Chairman Andrew Hemingway is calling for Democratic Gov. Candidate Maggie Hassan to drop out of her race for governor after she agreed that it was “a good answer” for Democrats to literally beat Republicans “with a bat … with your hands … [and] with your feet.”

Hassan, the former Majority Leader for the N.H. Senate, was asked at a Goffstown meeting “How do you plan to beat a Republican?” Democratic operative and Rep. Kevin Hodges, who introduced the candidate at the event, yelled out in reply, “You can beat ‘em with a bat, you can beat ‘em with your hands, you can beat ‘em with your feet.” Hassan was caught on video tape immediately responding, “That’s a good answer.” Please review the video here: http://youtu.be/V8zjC8NHlgI.

Later, when asked by the press about the comment, Hassan’s campaign manager Matthew Burgess replied that she was just “kidding” about beating other human beings with a bat as if the comment was just a joke.

Lakes Region Porcupines, Free State Project, Liberty, Freedom, and self – responsibility

A while ago, a now former NH State Representative Seth Cohn urged me to come to a meeting at the New Hong Kong restaurant to, as he said, “talk some politics with folks that are involved”.  Little did I know what I’d be getting into – and that was fine!  Many of the folks that attend are Free State Project “members” in that they came to NH because compared to other states, it had a low overall level of taxation and better yet, small government.  I have interviewed Dr. Jason Sorens before, so I knew the overall mindset – we tolerate a limited government, let it do a few things very well, and then leave us alone – we can be responsible for ourselves (the absolute antithesis of Democrats, who all but worship bigger government with the mindset, as we are seeing, that no one can be successful without out).

Sidenote: with that mindset, aren’t all Democrats then assuming that we are all LOSERS from the get-go? And boy, don’t the Dems go absolutely bat-crazy as more of the FSPers get involved in local and state politics – because the Dems just cannot understand that most of us don’t WANT the larger government they do.

Anyways, after this Saturday’s meeting, some of them went out to go clean the highway.  You often see those signs along the highways saying that such and such is doing the litter cleanup?  While some of them actually do the work themselves, most hire firms that specialize in doing just that.  The LR Porcs, on the other hand, believe in that self-responsibility and doing it themselves.  If one is going to be in Society, then one cannot outsource that responsibility.  So, out they went to show, in this small way, that they are not the anarchists that Ray Buckley (NH Dem Chair) claims they are and out to kill off government completely.  A very quickly done video:

Some Cool “Ice-T” on A Hot Summer Day

Rapper Ice-T is standing up for the second amendment. “The right to bear arms is because that’s the last form of defense against tyranny. Not to hunt. It’s to protect yourself from the police.” No government can complete it’s path to tyranny, soft, smiley-faced, or hard boiled, while the public remains lawfully armed.  The right … Read more

Subject: A lady shopping in a Texas store…and the massacre in Aurora, Colorado.

Thank you for shopping here, ma'am, and God Bless Texas.

The lady above is said to be shopping in a Texas Wal-Mart. I am delighted to see it, and hope to see the same in New Hampshire: As any rational person can see, stores with customers like this are far safer than without. You doubt it? Consider the massacre in the Aurora theater: If only ONE person carrying concealed had been present…

Playing Catch-up on Winning The Future…or Whatever It’s Called This Month

Win The Future SputnikWe realize that some of you are just too busy to keep up with all the things going on in the political world and to be honest, so are we.   And when it comes to having a president named Obama every day is some kind of crisis and more often than not, it’s his mouth that has created it.  So it is often necessary, when the opportunity presents itself, too stop and take a quick look back, to see what was happening in the other rings of the circus that we missed.

Enter Ed Morrissey and Hot Air, where they take the time to  chronicle all the Obama-nonsense and let readers vote on which of the many choices is by far the dumbest thing that came out of DEar Leaders mouth that given week.

This weeks walk away winner with 93% of the vote so far is “If you’ve got a business. you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

Obama, having never built anything himself might not be the best judge, but then that is what makes this so precious.

So it this kind of wisdom that has been captured and while there are now 150 weeks worth of winners–and all the entrants in between–I’ve grabbed the ones from 2012 as a prime, with links, for your Sunday evening enjoyment.

Obama Fail Spotlight: I Will Go Line By Line to Remove Wasteful Earmarks…

If you missed this post, there is a link to a blog that is compiling 1001 reasons to vote against Obama. There are at least 600 reasons so far.  But as I reviewed the first 100, which I included in my linked post, I came across a classic Obamaism that deserved special attention.

The promise to go line by line through legislation before signing it, to remove wasteful earmarks.  Of course his first major piece of spending legislation was the stimulus, and what wasn’t for public sector union bailouts was wasteful earmarks.

So Mr. Obama was either lying or he is not very good at reading legislation (A common problem for Democrats, or so I hear).

“Candidate Barack Obama publicly promises to go “line by line” through legislation to remove wasteful earmarks.”

  • Obama stimulus gave $200,000 to teach Siberian lawmakers how to engage Russian policy makers in Moscow.
  • Stimulus funding of $250,000 went to bug storage for an insect museum at North Carolina State University that gets 44 visitors a year.
  • Gave $500,000 to put microchips in recycling bins to check up on the recycling efforts of senior citizens.
  • $5 million to create a geothermal energy system for the Oak Ridge City Center shopping mall in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
  • $9.38 million to renovate a century-old train depot in Lancaster County, Pa., that has not been used for three decades.

About That “No Tax Pledge” Candidate Hassan…

Has Maggie Hassan taken the no tax pledge or not? It’s a well regarded fact that Democrat Candidate Maggie “The Red” Hassan, early in her candidacy for Governor of New Hampshire, took a Pledge to veto any sales or Income tax.  This is something of an election year tradition.  Democrats who have been trying to raise old taxes or pass new taxes for years find the odds of achieving the states highest office against them if they don’t pay lip service to “The Pledge.”

Governor Shaheen fell off the horse and eventually passed the state wide education funding tax.  Governor Lynch signed the pledge then later signed off on RGGI, a regressive broad based tax that actually outsourced taxing power to an unelected out of state board.  And now Maggie Hassan has stated repeatedly that she has taken the same pledge, but has she?

Which Utopian Democrat Dream-Scam Is Failing Faster?

Facepalm - Which Progressive Utopia will fail firstWhich Utopian dystopian Democrat dream-Scam is failing faster?

In Cah-Lee-Four-Knee-Ah the Workers paradise is collapsing at an ever increasing rate as the anchor of unsustainable public union contracts and pensions drag otherwise average, every-day, incompetently run, but barely sustainable left wing bureaucrapalities (bureaucratically strangled municipalities run by an endless string of administrators and political descendents of the Democrat bloodline) into bankruptcy.

In Obamaville, the chronically unemployed can look up from the gutters of Hopey-changey Way to watch the lights dim on an unending string of Solar Panel/Green Energy company failures as the DoE’s wasted-billions to prop up the Renewable Energy Utopia ding-bats like Jeanne Shaheen have oversight on, produce nothing but failure and rising debt service payments.

The missing link between these two is happily not missing.  And you cant blame George Bush.  These failures are both of products of Progressives, mostly Democrats, attempting to micromanage labor, its type, direction, output, and value.

NH Republicans v. NH Democrats – ‘Simplified.’

How to pick pockets- A guide to Governing as a NH DemocratA lot of people avoid politics because it seems so complex.  And there are plenty of people who make it that way on purpose to keep those very same people from getting involved.  If you are not involved you are more likely to buy into the nonsense or not pay much attention.   But I’m here today to make it as simple as I can.  It’s Friday.  Things should be simple on Friday.

So here we go.

New Hampshire Democrats want to raise your taxes.  (Just look at 2007-2010 if you doubt me.)  They are convinced that the government needs the money more than you do and with Democrats the government always comes first.  So the first thing they do is spend it, then find ways to tax it out of you.

Most New Hampshire Republicans would disagree.  While there are some things government could do, can do, and maybe even should do, none of them take priority over you and your family, or your job or your business.   And that is on the good days.  In this economy we really don’t need to add to the cost of unnecessary government which is why the Republicans cut spending and the deficit, and cut unnecessary taxes and still balanced the budget, rather than taking money from you to do it.   They wanted you to keep more of your own money, especially in these trying fiscal times.

Evil Tea Party Manipulates NH House To Produce First Balanced State Budget Since 2006

Hey.  If we (the TEA party/Right wing activists, etc)  are going to get blamed (by left wing radical Democrats) for making the New Hampshire House and Senate write and pass legislation (that reduces spending, taxes, regulation, and increases liberty and freedom), then we damn well deserve credit for this.

NH Republians balance budget to within +0.8%It’s the end of the two-year fiscal cycle and revenues came in +0.8%.  That means we took in revenue just a little bit more than we spent. And for the first time since (cough cough) 2006–the last year for which Republicans were responsible for revenue estimates–we are not in a fiscal crisis.  No late night, last minute, emergencies.  No layoffs.  No mid-budget hiring or wage freezes, no sudden need to borrow more money, no special, late night meetings to pass unpopular taxes that never had a hearing, or draconian plots to sell as yet defined public lands while cramming pension costs down on towns becasue revenue estimates were not even close.  No forcing department heads to look for savings in the middle of the budget cycle. No abrupt, heavy handed, executive orders to bring spending in line with revenue.   No delaying the pain or kicking the can down the road for someone else to deal with.

These were all features of the four year budgetary disaster known as Democrat majority control.  And thanks to the TEA party–if Ray Buckley and his Tax and Spend Democrat Party are to be believed–we no longer have that problem.
