Servitude Is Alive and Well in America

by Kevin Scully  |

The Democrats have successfully reintroduced indentured servitude to American society by creating three classes of government serfs. The vote-slave, the wage-slave, and the debt-slave.

The federal government drools when it come to budgeting The federal deficit was $693 billion for the first half of fiscal year 2019. That is $94 billion more than the deficit recorded during the same period last year. By anybody’s numbers the deficit and our accumulated debt are too large. Quite simply our federal government … Read more

Our Gross Overspending … $1 Trillion Again

Fiscal insanity Fiscal insanity continues to reign in the District of Columbia. Congress steadfastly refuses to budget for the nation. It continues to authorize spending while refusing to acknowledge responsibility for repayment. There are no signs of a return to fiscal sanity in sight. A new report from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) indicates that … Read more

From the Desk of Representative William O’Brien

From the Desk of Representative William O’Brien If you don’t think that State Government should grow at 5% a year while the economy is growing at 2% a year, resulting in a two-year 10.2% increase in state spending, $263 million in new taxes, $31 million in revenue overestimates, $7 million in cost downshifting to local … Read more

Is Senator Shaheen Your Senator…or Just the Democrat Party Senator?

New Hampshire US Senator Jeanne Shaheen is not here to talk to any little people that are not her little people.   When asked a question about more spending stimulus, as recommended by President Obama, that would be more debt spending at the expense of our children and their children, she couldn’t even be bothered to respond. I guess she’s … Read more

Your childrens’ future…

H/T John Hinderacker and Michael Ramirez…emphasis mine. “If there is one thing we know for sure about the federal government, it is that it spends way too much money–around $3.54 trillion in FY 2012, with a $1.1 trillion deficit. You would think that the man who presides over this mess, Barack Obama, would have the … Read more

MYTH 3: We have a “revenue” problem

You can read Myth’s 1, 2 and 4 here should you care to; my purpose for the moment is to mug and pummel the idea that spending is not the problem and this helps illustrate that.

The revenue problem refers to the notion that revenues are too low. Typically, special attention is drawn to the tax rates paid by the “wealthy.” However, taxes are not too low. In actuality, taxes are too high. Once again, take a look at the last 20 years. In 1992, federal tax revenue totaled $1.642 trillion in 2012 dollars. In 2012, revenue skyrocketed to $2.435 trillion in 2012 dollars. While federal spending has eclipsed revenue by more than $1 trillion each of the last four years, too little revenue has not been the culprit!

Put another way, imagine that you are earning 793 billion more dollars today than you were twenty years ago and yet your lifestyle still exceeds your income by more than a trillion dollars a year.

Do you think the someone with the Name tag that reads ‘Hello My Name is: Federal Government” could use a little  intervention?

Blood and Water – The Return of Democrat Rule in New Hampshire

Skip broke the news (on the Grok) about New Hampshire State Government’s department heads making budget requests that would increase state spending by 26% in 2013.  If you had any delusions about who or what state agencies represent, you just got your answer.

It ain’t you.  It’s them.

In the current economy, with no regard for whose money they are spending, incoming governor Maggie Hassan would have to raise taxes and fees by at least 19% to fill all the requests.   AFP-NH estimates that this would extract around 700 million dollars from the people of New Hampshire to pay for new spending that would never go away. So that’s 700 million from every budget henceforth and anon, plus new new spending each budget there after….these are Democrats if you recall, there is no enough when it comes to spending your money.

And that $700, 000,000.00 (million) is ironically close to another sum we readily associate with New Hampshire Democrats.

Speaking of going out of business…

Uh-oh: “…Unemployment at 8%, $16+Trillion in debt, $1 Trillion + annual deficit, GDP growth is the worst recovery is vapid, the Rule of Law being ignored faster and faster….”

And now this:

Harry Reid on Raising Debt Limit to $18.794T: ‘We’ll Raise It’

(CNSNews.com) – Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said on Wednesday that if the $16.394 current legal limit on the federal government’s debt must be raised in the next few months by another $2.4 trillion, “We’ll raise it.”

That would set the debt limit at $18.794 trillion.

Fine.  Wonderful.  Let’s have the financial armageddon come faster and harder, shall we?  Not just $16 Trillion (100% of GDP) but let’s start the process of going to twice that.  Gee, I thought that the purpose of our elected leaders was supposed to keep the country safe from enemies from without and within?  How does raising the debt to this level accomplish this, Senator Reid?  Or is this, again, a feature and not a bug?  Would you get even more peevish if I said that this would make us more “susceptible”?

Wonder if that’s why this came up – TODAY (right AFTER the election)?:

Fitch Ratings threatens to downgrade the US’s credit rating.

The Deficit From The Democrat National Convention

Ask a New Hampshire Democrat…About Taxing ‘The Rich.’

I am willing to bet that almost every New Hampshire Democrat supports the national agenda on taxing corporations and “the rich.”  To paraphrase Kyle Reese from the original Terminator movie, in regard to Democrats raising taxes…  “That’s what they do.  That’s all they do.”

The real problem is, of course, spending, which Democrats deny.  “It’s not about spending,” they say, “we need the rich to pay ‘Their fair share®.'” But  all you have to do to prove they are wrong (again) is to look at what would happen if Democrats actually got those taxes they say we have to have on corporations and the wealthy.
