Four years ago, President Obama said, “… I’m pledging to cut the deficit, we inherited, by half by the end of my first term in office”. (See for yourself, at about 1:30 in.)
Reported today: “The Congressional Budget Office made it official today, projecting a $1 trillion-plus budget deficit for the fourth straight year”.
What went wrong? Spending. Asked about this, the administration once again espoused the need for the repeal of Bush tax cuts for the rich. Presumably that and Obama’s budget should fix this mess right?
Wrong.
This was published a little over a month ago from Veronique de Rugy at the Mercatus Center. I thought it was worthwhile to post to help hinder the hydrant of sewage gushing from this administration and spilling all over the media.
