The Democrats have successfully reintroduced indentured servitude to American society by creating three classes of government serfs. The vote-slave, the wage-slave, and the debt-slave.
Alexis de Tocqueville once said: “The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.” That truth is playing out right now, and the instrument of the Republic’s destruction is what I call the “vote-slave.”
The Vote Slave
The vote-slave was made possible with the creation of a system that paid people not to form self-sufficient nuclear families (Democrat War on Poverty). Socialism in our education system (begun by the Socialist John Dewey and carried on to this day). And by driving traditional morals from American public life (Democrats again).
These three massive, destructive, cultural shifts in society made it easy for people to succumb to the siren song of envy and greed preached by the Leftist demagogues.
People are taught to be victims who can’t possibly succeed against a “rigged” system. They are paid to stay in their current economic conditions and provided things that keep them in relative comfort. And so, the vote-slaves is “born.”
In return for being “cared for” by their government master (with your money), they produce an electoral cash crop in the form of votes.
How are those votes bought? The methods of payment include,
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Subsidized housing assistance
- Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC)
- The special supplemental nutrition program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) cash assistance.
- The Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF)
- And the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
According to the research, in 2012 (one of those halcyon Obama years) one in three Americans was receiving benefits from at least one of those programs.
Yes, the vote-slave is real, and believe me, your Democrat politicians know it. They made them by design.
Let’s pull back the curtain to see what’s really going on. According to the data published on Debt.org.,
“…An individual’s likelihood of being a Democrat decreases with every additional dollar he or she earns. Democrats have a huge advantage (63 percent) with voters earning less than $15,000 per year…. This [Democrat] advantage carries forward for individuals earning up to $50,000 per year, and then turns in the Republicans’ favor…”
Do you think Democrats don’t know what happens when vote-slaves are able to improve their own circumstances?
Do you think they want the vote-slaves to do so well that they might consider becoming (gasp!) Republican?
Who is your real friend, the one that works to keep you dependent and feeds you scraps, or the one that helps you to go as far as your talents, hard work, and luck will take you?
The Wage Slave
The “wage-slave” (that is you and me) is given very little to nothing, but Democrats don’t need them.
The vote-slaves, combined with a minority of self-interested groups such as public-sector unions and Cultural-Marxist identity/grievance groups, are enough to elect, and re-elect, the Democrats.
These Democrats, in turn, pass the laws that take ever-more of the money you make with the sweat of your brow. Money used to pay for the vote-slaves, and the non-stop partying of our ruling class.
The Debt Slave
The third type of serf is the “debt-slave,” also known as our children.
This Democratic “party” (pun intended), with the help of feckless Republicans in DC, has been going on for over 50 years. Ever since the first ‘shots’ were ‘fired’ in the War on Poverty.
Your children are expected to pay the freight for a party to which they were never invited. A bill that is still being run-up by politicians spending more than the far too-much wealth they already take from you.
And what is debt to the vote-slave? They have no wealth. They’ll simply shrug and say: “keep the stuff coming and the Obama phone working. Just add it to my bill.”
Once it becomes impossible to kick the debt-can any further down the road, those who hoped, by hard work and sacrifice, to leave their children a legacy, can expect it all to be swept away by the tidal wave of government debt.
Democrats Want that for New Hampshire
The NH Democrat Party is trying to do the same good-for-them, bad-for-us thing here in NH.
The budget they just passed hurts the earners and savers and is designed with incentives that create more vote-slaves.
Deleting the work requirement from Medicaid expansion is proof of their bad intentions for the wage-slaves but governments gotta’ keep those vote-slaves happy!”
Depressing? You betcha! And we can’t fix this problem until we recognize what is happening and take steps to stop it.
Thankfully the damaging Democrat budget and the Democrat attempt to gut the Medicaid Expansion work requirements were vetoed by Governor Sununu. But is it fair to ask one man repeatedly, to stand alone like Horatius at the bridge, to defend our beloved State with his mighty red pen?
Think nationally, begin locally
Begin by organizing and voting the spendthrift Democrats out of power in NH.
The best way to make vote-slaves disappear is to help them up. Give them hope and opportunity. A healthy economy and a good job market.
Republicans have proved we can do that. Look around New Hampshire. Yes, Elizabeth Warren, Republicans built that. We implemented the fiscal policies that made possible the booming economy NH enjoys today. I promise you; we can make it better still.
We need to replace our feckless Democrat Congresswomen and Senators with true stewards of your liberty and your wallet.
And finally, vote for a presidential candidate that has the Republic at heart. And yes, that is Trump, warts and all.
Winston Churchill once told the English in their greatest moment of crisis, “I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat.”
We have out of control government spending at the national level and getting out of that hole will be painful.
The spendaholic Democrats control the NH House, Senate, and Executive Council. Getting them out so we can reverse their wrong course for NH will be no easy task. Knowing that, will we shirk from this fight, or force the battle for our beloved NH and the Republic while there is still a chance to win?
Let’s take our state and federal government back. We can become its master once again; so that we can work as free men and women to break this destructive societal cycle and assure our continued freedom and prosperity.
